What a gem of a place! Thank you so much for having us tonight. We had such a great night, the garlic bread and pizza were so amazing, but more importantly, we felt like we were coming home to long lost family. We all wish this was our local, totally worth the visit thank you
THE BEST BY FAR !!! Coming from Melbourne, Hobart was dead quiet no idea where to eat. Wasn't sure what I wanted to eat, googled reviews on line of many restaurants, Chinese, Italian etc . Boy am I glad I chose here. The best bruschetta I've ever eaten, pizza was delish husband and I were very impressed. Fast service, super friendly staff the young male waiter was fabulously kind and friendly deserved our tip. Highly recommend.
Have been to this place twice. Always a delightful experience.
Food - Absolutely lip-smacking!!
Ambiance - Very relaxed and gorgeous. Happy place with positive vibes
Service - Cherry on the top!! Beautiful people and service with a smile 😊
Recommendation - Do not miss the Tiramisu!! The best I ever had!!
We decided to try Paesano since it is the closest to our accommodation and they did not disappoint. Particularly impressed with their crust!
Surprising hidden gem near our AirBnB which was walkable and available for a late night feed. Read good reviews on the carbonara and it did not disappoint. Had a distinguished difference to other carbonaras I've had before.
Cute little Italian place - had the antipasto, very well plated with great quality. My compatriots had the pizza - looked very good! Would visit again.
Love the food and service here, but the menu on this site is outdated and has been changed!! I can't imagine how annoying it would be for the staff when they get calls asking for things that don't exist anymore (like the piscatory)! The updated menu is found on their Facebook page. Would 100% recommend!
We visited this restaurant in June 2015 during our 6-day trip to Hobart.
On our first day we decided to have Italian for dinner and stumbled across Paesano on Zomato because it is located very close to our accomodation. It was a quiet weekday, we visited around 8pm and "luckily" the waitress got a table for us. I was pretty surprised there were a few other reservations around us. This was a bit interesting for me because the area seemed very quiet.
Little did we know, this was one of the best decision and one of the highlights of our trip. The Carbonara Fetuccine dish that I had at Paesano is still currently the best pasta dish I have ever had in my life.
What struck me about this dish was the perfect silky texture of the Carbonara sauce, which is definitely second to none.
It will rather be obligatory for me to come back to Paesano next time I am in Hobart.
I had the gamborini. Very good flovours. However was dowy. I would order the thin base next and.the experiance would be complete. Very nice.
Now, I've had pizzas all over this wide brown land, and further. This would def be in my top 5 of all time! Ordered a pick up. Ready promptly. Maitre d' (owner/manager?) was very informative and helpful from what I experienced, and others in my vicinity. Friendly staff too. I ordered a Family half n half Paesano and Seafood pizza - of which I demolished by myself, and a Vege Las and garlic bread. Pizza was juicy, well herbed and cheesy, people complaining of "too many toppings" are off their cruet! Will def be back next visit to Hobart. Cudos Paesano..
Delicious!. The best pizza I have ever had, no joke. Bases are thin and light, perfect, and well balanced toppings.
Paesano pizza and pasta have transformed the sleepy suburb of West Hobart, filling surrounding streets with an enticing garlically and herby scent as it provides Hobart with delicious pizza, pasta and risotto 6 nights a week. Paesano have been around for a long time now and are going strong, and I am never disappointed with their crusty thick bases and fresh ingredients that come to arrive at the best pizza in town! One of my faves is the Lansdowne, named after the long sweeping cresent on which the restaurant is located. It consists of ham, mushrooms, capsicum, olives, artichokes, garlic, herbs with a tomato and cheese base. There are many pizza's to choose from including traditional favourites and gourmet creations. Paesano pizza's in my experience have always been consistent, so you know what you're getting every time. I highly recommend it. © Tasmaniasfeast 2013.
The pasta and the pizza is really delicious. It is fully book. We can only seat outside. Other than that everything is good.
Food was delicious, service was awesome. I strongly recommend paesano if you want best pizza in hobart. Thank you chef and customer service team for great service.
We had an amazing dining experience at Paesano tonight. Everyone was so warm and welcoming and within moments of being sat down our kids were offered colouring in sheets and pencils. The staff were attentive, the food and wine were excellent! Can't wait to come back.
Blown away with our experience at Paesano’s pizza and pasta! Perfect restaurant quality meals and of course dessert to finish off an amazing night. The Paesano staff are a delight to talk to and our family was leaving with all smiles. A lovely atmosphere for big and small families, we will certainly be back! Thank you kindly
First time trying this nearby pizzeria, the pizza is very fluffy. DEFINITELY the best pizza I've had in Hobart. Owner is also kindly. So happy to have this authentic Italian restaurant in our community.
Came here on a cold May evening. Excellent pizza, lasagna n spaghetti. Service is polite and friendly but waiting for your meal can be long. Sitting space downstairs is tight with limited elbow space.
Some of the best pasta I've had. Ordered the Salmone Fettuccini and they did not skimp on the salmon (Tasmanian smoked). Great value for money. Was fresh and delicious. Usually a heavy carbohydrate meal leaves me feeling a bit bloated, but this didn't!
