'Twas the morning of my partners 27th birthday... After a short walk up the hill, we sat down to a pot of French Earl Grey, the deliciously fragrant and hot tea was a perfect start to the day. Upon reading the specials board, we knew we were in for something special.
We ordered a dish of poached eggs, mushrooms, tarragon hollandaise & greens, as well as a dish of poached eggs, corn fritters, avocado & bacon.
I've only ever had 3 perfect meals in my life, and this was one of them. Along with the lovely service, relaxed ambience and the company of my beautiful woman, I can honestly say this was the best breakfast/dining experience I've had in Hobart.
I've only met you once, Lansdowne Cafe... But I feel as if I already love you <3
Had breakfast here, so hard to choose something as many items on the menu appealed to me. My meal was lovely, couldn’t fault it, great service and excellent value for money. Will definitely return. A little hidden gem!!!
Fetta scrambled eggs were delicious. Loved the basil oil and overall freshness of the food. Nice variety on the menu. Good coffee and freshly brewed chai as well
Excellent find on our first day in tassie
Great lunch burgers wine list and coffee
Lamb shoulder was to die for
Lovely friendly staff
We will try and get back there next time we are in tassie
Went here for breakfast last weekend and it was very busy. I had scrambled eggs with bacon and potato rosti. The eggs were delicious and the rosti was crispy on the outside and not greasy at all. Only complaint was the bacon was very salty and my smoothy was too frozen to drink, but it melted after a while. Friendly service and overall good value. Will be back soon.
Corn bread French toast!. Yummo, one of my favourite breaky dishes in Hobart. Thick corn bread French toast with rocket, truss tomatoes and a smoky maple syrup.
I would totally recommend this dish.
My son ordered a got chocolate caramel which was yummy for those with a (mega) sweet tooth. It was like a liquid Mars Bar.
Great coffee, friendly service and a real support of "regulars", and the food is lovely too. I had blueberry buckwheat pancakes, my friend had the omelette which also looked lovely.
Yummy!. Great spot for breakfast or a catch-up over coffee. There are lots of tasty breakfast options and our favourite is the corncake with eggs, rocket & little oven-roasted tomatoes still on the vine. The coffee is good and the staff are always friendly and happy.
Away from the hustle & bustle, the cafe is surrounded by gorgeous little houses in West Hobart, a great place to take a stroll after breakfast.
A great liitle street cafe with stunning views from the foot of Mt Wellington in Hobart, Tas on Landsdowne Cres. Delicious berry and cream waffles and coffee. Well worth a visit. A good and pleasant atmosphere.
5 stars doesn't do this place justice! The breakfasts are amazing, and good value for money too. Coffee is good, as is the chai latte. The buttermilk hotcakes with bacon and grilled banana and the cornbread French toast with bacon and smoked maple syrup were both amazing.
On a friend's recommendation I popped to The Lansdowne for breakfast whilst visiting nipaluna. Delighted to work my way through the huevos rancheros and a long black and I couldn't fault either of them, or the service. Great way to start the day.
Great service! Impeccable food! Awesome coffee!
Always a pleasure to come here! Thank you for making our mornings when we stop by!
Can't recommend this cafe highly enough. Friendly staff, delicious food and amazing hot chocolate
