Most authentic pho in kew / hawthorn - maybe all of Melbourne - We’ve tried em all . Has great family feeling .. food served quickly hot and delicious ! Highly recommend ..
Awesome food and great service at very affordable prices. Perfect for students or anyone on a budget who still wants to treat themselves with quality dining. A hidden gem of Kew that is a must try.
Had a good take away experience today as we ordered something to take away the monotony of Melbourne Iso 2.0. I was craving a banh mi and the crispy pork version didn’t disappoint. At first glance I thought they hadn’t given me the chilli I had asked for but there was a chilli hit hidden under all that carrot. The bun was nice and fresh and the pork had crunchy Crackling to cheer up my afternoon.
KD had the chicken rice paper rolls which were plump and generous on filling with tasty mint and a great dipping sauce.
Just what we felt like for a weekday lunch.
Ordered the roast pork broken rice ($14) which was great. Service was quick and friendly. Food hit the table within 5 mins of ordering which was good as I was in a rush. Complimentary hot tea is placed on the table along with a large selection of sauces. I would return again.
A great little Vietnamese Restaurant tucked away behind the Kew Woolworths carpark, next to Chemist Warehouse. Very small place, but serves delicious Viet food. It was super busy on a Friday. I'm glad we called up earlier to make a reservation and pre-ordered our dishes. We got there just on time when a table had freed up and straightaway got served our food. Because I noticed, even if you make a reservation, the place is so small and packed, you might not even get your table at the reserved time. So on to the food.....I had the Vermicelli with Grilled Pork and Spring Rolls. Quite a catch for just $14. The rice vermicelli Little Pho uses, are the slightly thicker ones, which I say are the authentic Vietnamese type. Pork were well marinated, with a taste of lemongrass and fish sauce. Spring rolls were fried perfectly and cut up into small pieces to mix well with the Vermicelli noodles. My friend had the Rare Beef Pho. Very tender meat and sweet soup base.
The let down was the long wait just to pay our bill. We waited at least 20-25 minutes downstairs to pay. There was only one staff downstairs taking takeaway orders, making the Vietnamese Baguettes and cashier.
I'm glad there is another lunch option in Kew and the only Vietnamese Restaurant so far in Kew.
Great little place with really tasty food run by a really nice family. Have tried the fresh spring rolls, the bun (vermicelli & chicken) yum!, bahn xeo (crispy pancake) so very good, pho good. next to try is the laksa - yes is not Vietnamese but is on the specials board so will give it a try - they had run out last time. Will be back often. and cute kid golden books for wall paper & menu.
We indulged in a Vietnamese feast that showcased a scrumptious selection of dishes that are on offer at the Little Pho Tuckshop. We started with some ‘Goi Cuon - Rice Paper Rolls x 2 ($6.50)’. There are three flavour combinations on offer and we chose the prawn and pork rolls.
This is a little gem. Does exactly what it should, simple, inexpensive, and delicious. Friendly. Satay wrap and pho are awesome. Lovely for a quick fix.
I love this place! The staff are so friendly and easy to talk to. I have come in a few times for a Banh Mi on the go and it did not disappoint! Can't wait to dine in and try their sit down menu!
Beef Pho - the broth is tasty and good quality, but it could do with more beef. It is a worthy lunch option if you around Kew junction. Extra points for friendly service and the Little Golden Books wallpaper. Points deducted for serving hot soup in a metal bowl - ouch!
I'm addicted!! So glad we have found this little gem. Food is always fresh and delicious! Prices are cheap! Its so worth the small wait. Best pho I have ever eaten!
What a great find next to chemist warehouse in Kew junction. This little place has a crisp interior and sells the freshest food. Had the rare beef pho and rice paper roles. Whilst this is standard fare it was made by the look of the owner and staff with a lot of love.
Very reasonable price aswell.
Ordered takeaway Pork and Prawns Rice paper Rolls and Chicken Rice Paper Roll, all yummy but the price was beyond expectations as four rolls costed me $18 which is not cheap but given the location, higher than expected price may be justified.
Lovely Vietnamese restaurant where we ordered pork and prawn rice paper rolls, chicken Vietnamese pancake and grilled pork with rice.
the rice paper rolls were huge! The biggest I've ever seen and it was filled with meat and prawns so no skimping. It was delicious. The pancake was crispy and full of flavour and overflowing with chicken and beanshoots. The rice was fluffy and the pork cooked perfectly. Everything was fantastic and the service was great as well.
Great place for a meal. Highly recommend!
Very tasty vermicelli with spring rolls and tofu pho
My take away order was ready on time for collection. The food was outstanding: fresh, tasty, plentiful and authentic Vietnamese. The man working there helped me carry my order down the stairs. I will definitely return
Bahn Mi is well worth the wait in the long line they usually have.
Best Pho and Laksa in Melbourne!
Upstairs is a quaint little eat is restaurant. Service was friendly and prompt and the servers spoke excellent English. The food was good simple Viet fare. I wasn't particularly impressed with the dumplings but everything else was spot on.
