One of the restaurants that I most regularly frequent. It has very consistent quality with good value. A big fan of their curry puffs and noodles. Not a restaurant that will really blow you away but great value with large portions and good service.
Albee’s Kitchen is a Malaysian restaurant in Kingsford. Situated close to the UNSW campus, I’m told that it was a very popular spot for students prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. I was a big fan of the Kuching Style Claypot Noodles ($14-$15). The soup was perfect and the noodles an excellent texture. This is one dish that I would have again and again.
I want to rate 4.5 if I could. I often come to this restaurant if I was to dine at Kingsford. This place is the most generous in portion, good in taste at most times and good value. Even their plain rice is very excellent, noodles and clay pots are awesome. Fried food is ok they could be better in my opinion. The hainan chicken is just ok not the best sometimes is great sometimes just ok. The Chinese spinach is nice but sometimes are smaller portion. But when it’s on good portion it’s satisfying. The laksa is fine. Their pepper pig stomach (or intestines?) was very good. Their randeng beef sometimes was superb sometimes was terrible so better not risk it. Their prawn mei was interesting. Overall, this restaurant is the one I constantly go to as I don’t want to be disappointed by going to other restaurants as they don’t perform well and rip you off with small portions. This restaurant doesn’t do that. Overall this restaurant keeps in constant performance in excellency. I absolutely recommend noodles and clay pots, then fried rice! Staff is very friendly especially the Asian young boy. He is smart, prompt, friendly and attentive.
Very delicious and big portion at an affordable price
Come here all the time
Best malaysian restaurant ive tried in Australia. Portion is much bigger than i expected.
One of the best laksa i’ve ever had. No wonder this place is really famous, they even open another branch in Campsie. The laksa broth was tasty, full of spices but not overpowering. Big portion as well, it could be eaten 2 people. Hubby had lunch set, fried rice and satay, for me taste average.

Always large servings so be prepared for a fulfilling meal! I've been here many times for lunches and dinners, I'd recommend going with friends so you can get a few dishes to share.
One of my favourite dishes is the cereal fried chicken the cereal is sweet and contrasts nicely with the salty fried chicken.
Super friendly service, made you feel like they have known you for a hundred years. Food done authentically just like in Malaysia. We ordered the curry puff, super crispy skin, beautiful fillings with boiled egg. Ordered Kuching clay pot noodles, absolutely delicious, crispy noodles in a flavoursome broth. Will be back for sure.
This place is so good, that I've been there three times in under a month. #literallyondiet we always choose different meals each time we come. Cheap eats with big portion! But one thing that we ordered same everytime is their curry puffs😋 $3 each you get a huge curry puffs ever !!!
Wonderful Malaysian food despite the price. They served great three layered milk tea and char quey teow. I tried their kuih several times as they tasted so good even though they were pretty pricey to me.
Large selection of Malaysian food and very generous portions. Would highly recommend sharing one dish between two people as it’s a lot of food! Or else could always take it home haha My favourites include curry chicken with roti, crispy noodles in egg sauce, curry puff but most stuff I have had there is good!
Albee’s kitchen is a single, all-in-one institution I dare say, that normally represents at least 20 individual restaurants and stalls in Malaysia. Crave laksa? Ban mee? Nasi lemak? Wonton mee? Fried rice? Fried beehun? Kuih muih? Chicken rice? Chilli ban mee? All the Malaysian dishes that you can name you will most likely find it here in Albee. 11/10 would recommend this place to anyone.
Dec21: Finally got to dine in. The food was good but the service was disorganised, a long gap between dishes and they forgot about the rice. They were full though. Hence probably why.
Sep21:Good curry puffs $3.50 each. A good range to choose from.
Yummy food but...
Super small and crowded.
Staff are okay.
Food sizes are small.
Loud place.
Not table service.
Well priced, authentic food with high quality ingredients. Reminded us of being in Singapore
Pretty authentic but the management should improve the renovation and fit out.
Simple no frills diner restaurant. We ordered Hainan chicken rice which was boneless and delicious. Also curry chicken rice, traditional Malaysian curry (thin) medium spice level, also delicious. Chicken wings (deep fried) as a side - juicy but not salty. Wouldn't order again. Great restaurant for tasty authentic Malaysian food at a reasonable price.
