The best of the best Thai food in Melbourne ran by the passionated people.
Best Thai food we've had in ages. Great Sunday evening meal, highly recommend.
loved this place.. food amazing & fresh.. the only problem was the music :( why play 91.5fm instead of some beautiful Thai bells?
We had a lovely dinner last night. Really fresh flavours and generous serves. The staff were very friendly and overall it was a great night. We were a bunch of friends and we split the bill four ways. Thought it was a bit steep having a $25 minimum for EFTPOS. That’s the highest I’ve ever seen. So we all paid more than we needed. Left a bad taste at the end of a really nice meal.
My partner and I have been here a few times and keep returning. Love their green curry, pad thai, pad see ew, spring rolls and lots of other dishes. They change up the vegetables and the dishes themselves a bit but it’s always delicious.
Lovely and attentive staff also.
Really good Thai restaurant which we have been going to for years. The owner is so friendly and she always tries her hardest to please. All the dishes are delicious. Must try.
Came here last Friday night after we found out some other Thai place we wanted to go to was fully booked out for the night. This place was nice. At the start, it took them a while to give us water (we ended up having to ask twice) because they forgot. I liked how for entree, we were able to choose our own tasting platter-we got the market platter which included the chicken skewers, duck spring rolls and vegetable dumplings (they ran out of these dumplings so they offered us corn and chicken dumplings as an alternative).i really liked their dipping sauce, thought it tasted well with the spring rolls, satay and dumplings. In terms of main, we had the pad Thai with beef and chicken, duck curry. Weirdly we did not find any duck in the curry-so perhaps it was false advertising there. Lots of chicken though 🙌
Overall, a nice Thai experience
Really enjoyed our green curry and pad see ew. Was full of flavour, well presented and perfect portion sizes. Polite and lovely staff. Thank you.
I have been meaning to write a review for Mama Papa for a while now. I usually order through menulog but on this occasion we dined in, so I finally took some photos to do the food some justice.
I don’t normally comment on staff but the staff at Mama Papa are so welcoming and friendly they deserve a shout out. Even at their busiest times, they are very patient.
In terms of food, it is one of my favourite Thai restaurants. Yep, price range is a little more mid range but they consistently bang out dishes that are full of flavour with a balance of sweet, savoury and spice. I have ordered here plenty of times, and my go to is the king prawn pad thai. It never lets me down. My other favourite is their stir fry with cashew nuts. Mama Papa is a great restaurant if you’re in Malvern, or to order in for those treat nights when you don’t feel like cooking.
5/5 for amazing Thai take away.
I have a pretty serious fish allergy and they were more than helpful on the phone to make sure there wasn't anything seafood related in any meal.
The chicken pad se ew was super fresh, loads of vegetables and chicken. Fried rice with pineapple and cashews was a generous serve, spring rolls I wish there was more as they are super tasty and I could eat a container of the sweet sour crisp chicken to myself if I could.
Really delicious food - and great they listen to allergies!!
It is my favorite Thai restaurant in Melbourne. Food is fresh and tasty and price is reasonable. Staffs are very friendly. Interior is also nice.
Food was so good! The flavours of each dish was amazing! Soft shell crab salad, lamb curry, pad Thai, thom yum soup, etc... The staff were super accomodating and friendly :)
