Had the pleasure of attending the bottomless brunch event for the queens birthday. Was such a lovely event, location was fantastic really nice view of the river and great spot to people watch. Was so impressed with the quality and quantity of food and drinks and the staff were all so lovely. Very much looking forward to the next event, will definitely be purchasing tickets.
Came here as a catch up with mates. Some of us hadn't seen each other for 20 years +. Food and beers great and fair price.
Atmosphere and vibe is really good. Was a 42 deg hot day and we chose to sit outside and were under cover. Very comfortable. Can't fault the place but whilst everything was great what made it so was the friendly staff. Great guys and girls who know there jobs but make it like its not a job. They seem to enjoy themselves which makes your time there enjoyable.
This is now our get together place.

Just prior to the office shutdown we had post work drinks lazing on the deck chairs which is awesome on a sunny day (as long as it’s not too hot!). Order at the bar it's a pretty casual affair so no table service but a really nice atmosphere

I had lunch at BB and very much appreciated their new menu. It’s so much more extensive now it made it hard to chose. The lamb shoulder, brisket and burger were all in contention but wagyu burger won out (the fish burger intrigued me too though!). Really delicious stuff, a great improvement on their previous, far more limited offerings and I love the fact there are also many gourmet options available too

I've eaten here a couple of times given I used to work in South Wharf and it's a really lovely spot when the sun is shining. The super salad with poached chicken is always a good lunch option and sitting outside by the water meant I never wanted to go back to the office.

After the resounding success of last year BB was once again our work after party venue of choice post Xmas shindig. Given our event is a daytime affair it works really well as this is a beautiful venue to see the sunset hit the water. It really is an iconic Melbourne space

We had our after party for the work Christmas party at Boatbuilders which was a wonderful choice of venue for a big group such as this and perfect time of year given the weather, being both an indoor and outdoor space. Staff kept up well with the demand for drinks. Would definitely consider this for a casual function space
Very little beats a charcuterie, cheese and wine lunch. It’s one of our most favourite things to do. Actually, I think we’re on a bit of a mission to find the very best charcuterie and cheese board out there. The boatbuilders have a very good one with the right amount of cheese/meat/accompaniments to keep you going back for more. Delicious!
The best part about this bar is that you can generally find a seat so you can chat with friends. Also the service is quick so you are not spendiñg your time waiting

This place is pretty huge - the inside sitting area is nice and comfy and there were so many seats/benches outside. I think you'd have to book or reserve some benches. Got the wagyu burger with bacon and it was pretty tasty. Staff were friendly and fast, crowd wasnt annoying so I'll come back

We had our company a Christmas party a little up the way but our unofficial Christmas party was here at boat builders yard. We have been regular patrons of boat builders over the year and enjoy what they have here now. A little more shade options although plenty of exposed areas for sun worshipers. I like the range of beers and food is getting much better. Can’t wait for Junipalooza 2020.

The Boatbuilders Yard has been a regular venue for work drinks for several years now. It has the outside space and cheap BBQ style food options to tick many boxes for those who organise our work events. In terms of range they have a significant number of beers on tap, which are served by the pint, a plus for me as it reduces the queuing time. It's has a fair amount of indoor space and it's quite nice in there but I've generally always gone outside under the sun or under the heaters. I've not checked out the drinks menu as have always tended to come here with the work crew and purchased beers as part of round by round shouts. The are almost entirely surrounded by water so it's a great scenic place to spend the evening.
The Boatbuilders Yard is a great place if it’s the beginning of the month (you know what I mean! Kaiching!). The ambience is good, music is refreshing and the staff is friendly. But my favourite part is the location of the bar. It’s build right on the river which makes it a great combination of view and vibe!
Its such a gem in the neighborhood ! Staff are friendly , food comes in great portion and great price. I will come back again !
Amazing spot right beside the Yarra in Southbank! A walkable distance from flinders station if it’s a cool summers day! Totally loved the vibes and the outdoor dining area. Staff were friendly and service was good with the waiters checking up on us a couple times during our lunch.
We ordered share plates and they were all delicious! Cocktails were also yummy!
We came here for brekky on a Saturday morning. It’s a busy spot along the boardwalk, lovely view and atmosphere. The line to order food is usually pretty long. Not a whole lot going on with the menu... but the food and drinks where nice and it did come out pretty quick! Didn’t love the thick steak bacon though. I’d be keen to have an arvo session here!
Convenient on the south bank good access for prams/wheel chairs/walkers and plenty of open areas. Being on the Wharf certainly adds some charm.
The sand pits are great for those with children.
Food was great and included burgers, fried favourites, desserts and some speciality dishes. Plenty of beverage choices also.
The location is excellent which is next to DFO and facing waterside. Great place for food and drinks.

One of my new favourite places in Melbourne! We visited the Boatbuilders Yard before going to a concert, for lunch and some drinks and it was perfect! Great central location, amazing staff and delicious food/drinks! Also love the ability to order from your table on the app - super handy

Came for a light lunch after an exhibition at the Melb Convention Centre (MCEC). Venue is nice and relaxed; get a table by the water for added charm (but really anywhere is just as comfy, especially on a nice day) they have a QR code scan-order-pay system, or order and pay at the bar. Servers were friendly and attentive, and they will let you know if there is a long wait for food. Food was simple and nice. Good place to go to if you’re within the area.
The lads at boat builders yard are unreal, service was quick and polite, especially for the busy long weekend. A beer riverside coupled with top notch service can’t be missed. Shout out to james for pouring an epic pint, highly recommended! Cheers guys!

Enjoyed all the meals we ordered. Not a long wait for food. Smaller sized meals so order entrees. Reasonable price for great location, nice ambience to the place with fire pit outside. Staff were polite but seemed under the pump or new. Did note most restaurants during our stay in Melbourne seemed to have limited staff most likely due to covid.
