Enjoyed the meal and the service was excellent.We had the mixed grill platter for two with a bottle of wine,chocolate fondue with espresso martini’s to finish off,recommend to anyone.
As I am from Adelaide, this is now one of our favourite places to eat in Melbourne. The service is fantastic, always get looked after. The food is even better. Best steak and best chicken burger I have ever had. Would highly recommend!

Good steak place for a date night or catch up with friends. The eye rib was perfectly cooked and the sides were delicious. Will definitely come back!
Steaks without blood is lack of spirit. This place definitely did my medium rare rib eye in a amazing way, light pepper sauce combined with the hint of meet juice, a little touch on the salad all give the completion of this dish. The missing stars is for the seafood spaghetti, it’s really not that good, yet it’s a place for steaks, you won’t want to try other things.
We didn't have a reservation, but they were able to accommodate us, thank goodness! This was the best meal, with the best service we have had during our stay in Melbourne. The garlic bread is a must have! I enjoyed an Angus eye fillet cooked to a perfect medium well. The flavor of the steak was delicious and had just a hint of seasoning as to not take away from the flavor of the beef. The cut was tender as it should be, even though I prefer it cooked a little longer. My husband had the ribeye with the pepper sauce on the side. His steak was also cooked to a perfect medium rare, tender, with just the right marbling. We both ordered chips as our side dish. The portions were so large that we were not able to finish them!
The atmosphere is excellent. The staff is outstanding! I highly recommend Rare if you are looking for a special place to dine.

Food was really good - the basic eye fillets were delicious, though I have also had the more expensive ones and they were great, too. Service was average considering how quiet it was, but a great, well-priced steak in Melbourne! Good choice of sauces and the chips on the side were cooked to perfection (crunchy but not dry)!
Had a perfectly cooked, tender and juicy eye fillet but the coleslaw served with the steak seemed a little out of place. Staff were friendly, attentive, and not intrusive.
Quality of the meat is great. Steak is always cooked perfectly according to your request and very well-seasoned. A bit more on the expensive side but it's worth it every once in a while.
Staff are attentive, helpful, and patient in giving you suggestions or educating you on the different cuts of meat. Nothing too special with the interior but it's comfortable.
Food is good without being great. Well seasoned with cooking very well done. Very alert to medical allergies and were flexible with this. Minimal waiting time. Decor could be improved without being drastic. A little on the expensive side but ok. Would return.
Great place! Good food! Friendly staff! Ordered so much food! Everything was yum! I actually loved the Asian coleslaw as a side! Hubby loved his scotch fillet steak! No room for dessert!
This place is hands down The Business! What an amazing venue and view, well presented the Trainee that waited us did a outstanding job service was next level. Now for the food and cocktails. You can watch your food streak being Grilled by the Masters themselves steak was so soft I could have used a butter knife to cut it! My Partner had the Seafood and I just had to try some It tasted like MORE! The The Bar tender also whips up an amazing Cocktail!!! If I could give 6 starts I would great staff really a true steakhouse experience!! Thank you to everyone on the night.
This is s as great place for a steak dinner. Not everyone in our party wanted steak but there was a selection of other dishes. The staff were very helpful and service was good. My steak was cooked to order and was excellent. Other members of our party of 4 enjoyed the grilled Atlantic salmon and the chicken Parma. The fisherman’s basket was rather average.

Had the platter for two with some oysters. All the food was great quality and the staff were welcoming and nice. No complaints at all. Left with a full stomach and was very satisfied. All the food was cooked to perfection and we loved every item on this generous platter. Thank you so much
