Lane's Edge is one of my favourite CBD spots for casual drinks. It's not fancy and doesn't have a great beer selection, but it's comfortable and down to earth and consistent. I always know what to expect. It's like the venue equivalent of that friend's house you can always just show up to uninvited and expect to be greeted with positivity and welcome arms. I usually go for a White Rabbit Dark Ale when there, but there are also tall boys of Coopers and Melbourne Bitter that are a budget friendly alternative, and good for sharing.
Friendly staffs cheap price and good vibe :) visit occasionally here with bunch of friends but this place is quite small. I like smoking back side area !
Lovely little place for some drinks and snacks. I recommend Lanes Edge with a small group or just couples as it's quite intimate and not exactly spacious.
Another meeting point to have an endless talk with beloved friends. It is really warm and welcoming garden pub. However, it can be a bit smoky when people smoke
Super cool vibe. It's a cute little hidden away place which provides delicious food. I took my best friend here and she loved it. Lovely workers and a really relaxed environment
Lovely underrated spot for drinks with mates, with decent food and hipster/indie music in the background if you're into that. The pie with chips and salad was proportionally generous for a good price of $14, along with the linguini and gnocchi that our table ordered. At night it felt like eating in a garden surrounded with vines and dimmed lanterns all around.
Great experience! The bar tender Jesse was humorous and put a smile on my face and everybody's faces at the bar! The drinks were well priced and service was quick. We sat in the courtyard and it was very warm with really funky cool music playing! Really set the mood would recommend this place... would return because of Jesses customer service skills
I love love love Lanes Edge. Amazing, friendly and inviting staff. A totally friendly and inviting place with a beautiful outdoor area and vibe. The Vodka Sohito is my favourite cocktail ever, I bring all my mates here to have one. Sooo tasty!
Don't let your party end at the first part or 'entry' of the Lane's Edge. You have to go past the counter to the backyard!! It is a well decorated garden which adds a cozy feel to the place.
Food and drinks are pretty standard and the service is prompt.
Recommended if you are looking for a different ambience for a round of drinks!
Decent place for drinks. I didn't find the service too welcoming but definitely not rude either. Enjoyed the drinks very much and appreciated the grassy interiors.

what a wonderfully relaxing evening! took my best friend (visiting from Sydney) & it was an awesomely intimate venue for a night of catching up :)
Jazz & Will were both helpful, kind & engaging - however also left us to our own devices when we needed it, which was appreciated.
it is so great sitting up at a bar for a chat, but also lovely to have the opportunity to be left alone to catch up. thank you both so much for an incredible Tuesday. hope to be back soon!
Awesome bar on the corner of Meyers Place. Has an open outdoor seating area out the back and a cosy bar at the front. Pre-set cocktails are so delish. Our party also enjoyed the mulled wine. Lovely finger food as well. Brilliant service.
We chose Lane's Edge for our work function and weren't disappointed. Service was fast and friendly with a good selection of drinks including quality AF options. Will was very nice to deal with in terms of booking and answering queries. Tasty finger food. Good warm heaters in the outdoor section (needed this Melbourne winter), covered overhead but plenty ventilation and a great music selection. Thanks for a successful evening guys.
Lovely bar with great staff. Super friendly and easy to order. The menu is a bit small but everything on it they do well! Great spot for your friday night drinks
