Ordered the garlic and cheese pizza and seafood antipasti to start (shared between 4). Crispy batter on the seafood, though a little oily. Delicious sauces (aioli and tomato relish) to accompany.
Penne ragu and spaghetti marinara were rich and delicious. The beetroot and ricotta ravioli was light and airy with a subtle hint of lemon and salt.
The restaurant was not busy (Sunday evening) so service was attentive and good humoured.
Came for the all you can eat gnocchi night. Extremely good value for money and the quality of the homemade gnocchi was top notch. While this simpleton would've like some more typical western style sauces (bolognese or carbonara) I was still really impressed by some of the dishes that I would've otherwise avoided. The fried gnocchi was my favourite of the 5 dished served.
Came here this evening with my elderly parents. Arrived at 5:30pm to an empty restaurant and was unsure whether or not to stay (we dined at the popular Tiamo around the corner at the same time last night and got the last table!) Very happy we decided to stay. We shared the caesar salad, a couple of pizzas and a side of greens. The quality of the food was outstanding, very generous portions and so flavoursome. The service was super friendly and fast. My parents were extremely happy. Will definitely be back.
Friendly server, Good italian food, We god a Beetroot Ravioli . Was Yummy, Good decor and reasonable prices.
For 2 people ~ 50 $ or so.
Pretty good experience.
What a pleasant lunch and afternoon... finally the first signs of summer have appeared, and this location is perfect... under cover, with open windows...letting the breeze float past... combine this with good food, fresh tasty and sizeable, and diligent service... what a pleasant lunch and afternoon!
Been here several times with friends and colleagues, and always a good experience. Their pasta and pizzas are very good, and coffee is made well. A large dining space, including an indoor-outdoor area covered by a series of roll-up awnings and folding ceiling. The decor is modern and trendy, and the service is great. Staff are very welcoming and accommodating.
Best gnocchi that I have ever eaten in my life. PERIOD. They are amazing, hands down to their gorgonzola sauce. The service and the place are both really nice.
Very friendly staff and the setting of the restaurant is also really nice. It would be a great place to come during summer because it has a beautiful courtyard and spacious dining area, but with the heaters on high above our heads we were still kept warm and happy. Food was impressive and tasted fresh. We ordered a spaghetti carbonara, risotto special (with sweet potato, kale and pork belly) and a garlic & herb pizza. The carbonara and garlic pizza were absolutely delicious but the risotto was undercooked ie. the rice still tasted hard. If it were fully cooked, this meal would have been flawless. The roasted pork belly pieces in the risotto were tasty and succulent. Overall quite a positive experience and this place has the potential to do really well.
Groupon online booking system didn't work at first, and I believe I was the first one called the cafe to report the issue. Fixed the day after and they tried to ring me twice to let me know. Pretty thoughtful. Booked@5.30pm last Sat evening. Not too many people were there so we were led to a very nice cozy corner with a heat just over the head. It works very well in a cold winter evening. Ordered one calamari fritti as a shared entree. Awesome. Main dishes were steak(median) and fettuccine pease. Pasta was very nice, but the steak was below average to be honest. It had a strange smell and my husband and me just didn't appreciate heaps of peas and garlic underneath the steak...desert was back to normal standard. Ordered choco and cheesecake. Both were very rich in flavor. Generally I would recommend this cafe and very likely to come back providing there's a voucher. Otherwise it's slightly over priced, at least for the steak.
Tucked away of Lygon St, this place is a pretty handy option for a decent feed. A very relaxed atmosphere in this alfresco area that is perfect for a warm night. Staff and service were solid and the menu caters for a large range of Italian staples.
You must order the gnocchi as it is a specialty and was seriously good. Mixed with the paesa sauce made for a top meal. Pizza's were also a good option for a shared entree but they were only small and had 4 slices.
Great place for a casual feed and they cater for a large groups too.
A what a good spot for some Italian food 👌 definitely I'll go there with friends.
The last Wednesday...and the last Thursday if you're lucky is ALL YOU CAN EAT gnocchi nights.
The staff are amazing, the gnocchi is fantastic and probably the best I have ever had.
If you don't get down here you are cheating yourself.
The all you eat gnocchi night will gnocch you out!!!! But seriously great place. I had to have a sit down in the gutter afterwards to stop myself from chundering (from too much delicious gnocchi). Safe to say my eyes are bigger than my stomach!
All time favourite restaurant!! Gnocchi Gorgonzola has always been my go-to dish every time I come here but my new favorite is the pork belly!!! Yummo!!
Been to this place many times and have always had a great experience. Food has always been fresh and tasty at a good price. Also love the venue and service is 10/10
