Found this place on The Fork and decided to give it a go because of the discount. A small cosy bar with a nice courtyard out back and small dining area out the front.
The menu reminded me a lot of Paris, a set menu with 2 options for entree, main and dessert. There were also a few tapas options and cheese, cold cuts and pate/terrine share boards.
We started with a feed me board which consisted of cheese, pate, terrine and cold meat. It was a good variety and just the right amount of everything.
Next was the set menu, the entree was the same terrine on the tasting board. Main I opted for the pan fried barramundi and it was cooked perfectly! Amazing flavours and generously portioned.
Finished off with the isle flottant which are small poached meringues in custard. Very light and delicate.
Overall a good dining experience with excellent quality food
Great for a casual chat, cheese platter and wines!
Staff were friendly and made good recommendations for wine choices.
Wouldn’t come here for a formal dinner as the dinner options were quite limited. More of a graze and sip kind of place.

Dropped in with two male friends after a conference. Small restaurant. Prob seats 20. Apart from our table, the other tables seem to already know the host.
The menu was a one pager, but in each section, there was something I wanted to try. We ordered the beef tartar, charcuterie for entrée. Fish and Steaks for main. Cheese board and chocolate fondant for dessert. We polished up everything. All delicious.
A fantastic French restaurant in South Yarra. The head chef at this restaurant is superb and creates incredible signature dishes. We found all dishes to be presented super classy and very unique. This place doesn't have a large menu but shows you that you don't need a huge menu if you nail all your dishes. If you're looking for a romantic evening, give this place a go.
One of my favourite French fine dinning place in Melbourne...since I'm a fussy eater but I choose to have spent my 2017 birthday here, everything well made by French chief ...fine designed, well made and Devine flavour just boost your tongue every time...handsome and friendly boss TJ also my favourite food guild every time :))) different session they have designed different menus, also for special event, average around $80 per head include alcohol price is on the middle range, good for exclusive dating and group event...love here and always come back ❤️
New manager and new chef delivering an interesting change in style. Share plates and well-priced mains. We chose to share the French cheese & Charcuterie plate followed by the Vodka-&-Beetroot-cured Salmon and the Sea Bream Tartare with Mango & Coriander. All excellent accompanied by a local Pinot Gris.
Manager, Nicolas, and key help, Estelle, are knowledgeable and informative. We’re coming back with friends in a week.
Such beautiful cooking, tender slow cooked beef. I want more and more and more. Elegant and delicious. This will be my new favourite dish here.

Had an amazing meal at this French restaurant ! We were surprise how good each dishes were. We could tell that the ingredients were really fresh and high quality.
The staff was really nice and friendly. They recommended great menus.
Our favourite dishes are
- trout confit
- salt bush risoni
- crab croquette
The texture of the chocolate mousse could have been better but overall it was still a pretty dish.
Really enjoyed it and would totally go back again!
Really good French food, wine and a lovely waitress ... one of the best place in Melbourne I would recommend. Not to busy and a really jovial place to eat.
Came in for a quick wine. Sat in the gourgeous courtyard all afternoon. Great recommendations on tasty wines. Ended up ordering some cheeses to match. Glad we listened to the waitress. Her favourite cheese was to die for!
We stumbled across this intimate French restaurant and we couldn't have been more pleased! They have a great wine list (sourced from France of course!) and a simple but delicious menu - the steak and chicken breast were the best we have had in a long time.
Great customer service and background music made it an incredible night out with friends. We will be back regularly, thank you!

Tu is a first-rate restaurant with french home feels. Thier food is phenomenal, I had their perfect melt in your mouth eye fillet and exquisite chocolat foundant. Thier wines are beautiful and all from the regions of France. Thier service is very personal with great knowledge and recommendations, making us feel like the only 2 dining. Will certainly come back and must for a romantic evening or a celebration.
A little piece of France in Toorak Rd, Tu fulfills my wishes of many years - an intimate bar/restaurant where locals can go and feel at home. Coffee and croissant with the chef's jam, lunch dishes reminiscent of special times with family in Paris, aperitif at the bar chatting to staff, or innovative twists on traditional dinner dishes. The team is a delightful treat, and immediate acknowledge your presence, whether greeting you in French or English. After two visits only, I already feel at home and part of the family! Long live 'Tu'"!
What a delightful hole in the wall. The owner was especially friendly and helpful. I had the lamb rack and it was exquisite! The chocolate dessert was also simply divine! I would highly recommend coming here!
Totally recommend for random catchups with friends or a dinner and the cheeky drink with your partner. Great food the owner is fantastic. Always an experience made by the friendly staff and amazing food .
The owner is so personable and hand selected my meal. Waiters are attentive and so friendly. I have good recommendations for brekkie in the city and definitely will come back again. They change their menu every season too.
Amazing food and atmosphere. The staff are really knowledgeable about their menu as well, happy to make recommendations and tell you more about what you're ordering. It's pricey, but it is in Toorak
