The Cookie Butter aka Lotus Biscoff churros is a must try! Plenty of biscoff sauce, crisped yet soft churros, with tart strawberries to balanced out the sweetness. Heaven!

The churros here are always made consistent, and will definitely satisfied any sweet cravings.

The original snack pack is so good with the hazelnut being my favourite dip.

There's just something about these golden doughnut sticks that are just irresistible, especially with a bowl of melted chocolate to dip them in. San Churro have them down pat, so I know when I have a craving I can rely on them to deliver the goods.

The QV centre is a really good location, smack bang in the middle of the city; and there is plenty of seating inside and out. Like it's other venues, the decor is comfortable and the sweets are the star here. I found the service to be really good and the staff were well trained and friendly. Our churros arrived piping hot, and the cinnamon aroma is intoxicating. San Churro is a good option for a quick coffee and sweet treat, no matter what time of the day it is.

And just like that, we struck gold @sanchurro_au
Amazing churros as always.. And finally tried out Gold Chocolate! I liked it heaps better than Ruby Chocolate (which to me tasted like a strawberry flavoured chocolate) @qvmelbourne

One of my favourite places to catch up with friends since university! The hot choc with fresh hot churros is a match made with heaven! The outside area is nice for people watching as it is at the heart of the crossing between Melbourne central and state library

I visited San Churro for their free coffee Wednesday’s as I had always been curious how they would make their fairtrade certified and organic coffee with 100% Arabica beans and what the taste would be like since they are supposed to provide a high quality product.

I visit the store at QV and the place is definitely beautifully decorated, with an environment featuring warm and cozy vibes under some dim and yellow lights.

The line wasn’t too big which surprised me, since it was quite early and I would have excepted more people to come here to grab a free cup but there were still about 15 people in front of me waiting for their coffee order.

I was promptly asked for my order, with a clearly busy barista and the ambience was quite frenetic behind the counter. Nonetheless they were polite and after ordering and Almond Latte with cinnamon I patiently waited and wondered around the place, taking some pictures to distract myself (as I had the camera with me for an event next 😂 so why not?)

I saw their different chocolates, the icecream (they have vegan options!) and all their cakes and little filled donuts! I also appreciated the decorations and the drawings- beautiful 👏 they remind of of a middle earth theme!

It didn’t take make time which clearly shows the staff is ready for busy times. They didn’t call my name right (😂) but I was close enough to understand that it was my turn when they screamed ‘almond latte’. Since it didn’t come with cinnamon, I politely ask for cinnamon powder and they provided me with a container with a whitish powder.

I actually asked if that was sugar or cinnamon because it didn’t smell like cinnamon and it clearly didn’t look dark like cinnamon and they told me it was cinnamon. Weird, I thought. But I put it on top of the drink and, well, I’m still not convinced that was cinnamon because it also didn’t taste like cinnamon and it had a sweet taste.

Either way, I was grateful for the coffee and whatever I put on top. Not the best coffee I had, but not the worst either. Nicely blended.
The cup is also pretty and featuring the brand colours, and with different sizes the pattern changes as well as the colours.

Of course that I would be interested to see if the drinks and even their new vegan menu is better and distinctive as it claims to be. I’ve heard great reviews about it, so I’m curious about it too. A good vegan chocolate can be tricky to make as there as so many good brands out there these days.
I would certainly love to try it one day.

One final note for the social media. I understand that sometimes costumer experiences and feedback isn’t a priority for brands but sometimes it’s good to have some appreciation and being noticed on media platforms, especially when there’s effort behind to highlight the visited place. I actually texted them on Instagram, congratulating for creating a vegan menu but none ever saw the message. The same with my visit and stories.
Like I said, I know people can be busy and have more important things to do but I believe that a brand or venues that wants to please costumers and even reach a bigger audience should definitely pay a little more attention to these things. Just a friendly constructive criticism/opinion.

Either way, it was a good start of my day and certainly made me quite more curious about the vegan options here 🤗

We were here last night for my complimentary birthday churros. Hot tip if you sign up to their loyalty program you will receive complimentary churros on your birthday every year (it's been years of many happy returns for me). They also have other rewards such as every fifth drink free which comes in handy if you love hot chocolate as much as I do.

Original review
I used to live in the QV building and visited San Churro for my sugar fix with disturbing regularity. The place is often packed and you may find yourself sitting in the outdoor area but they do have heaters and the warm melted chocolate dipping sauce should keep you content. I have never had a bad experience here
