Had the Feed Me for Two ($85) dinner. Amazing food overall with friendly staff and efficient service. Highlights were the lamb ribs, baked salmon and pannacotta. Will definitely be coming back here! šŸ˜Š

I canā€™t decide what I like more... Bun Bo Hue or Beef Pho! Theyā€™re both just as good but Iā€™ve been to Little Brother twice, and both times Iā€™ve really enjoyed the Bun Bo Hue. While youā€™re here do yourself a favour and get the salted coconut coffee martini and also the crying tiger beef :)

A small little restaurant just releasing their dinner menu! A great menu too hard to pick from and some damn good cocktails what more can you ask for. The service here is great and all the staff accommodating and passionate abiut what they do. Some well presented dishes to come out of the kitchen. **Disclaimer: although the restaurant has generously invited me to their restaurant this review is still based on my genuine opinion.

Incredible food and service! What a lovely little gem with gorgeous interior. The food was fab but we particularly loved the soft shell crab bun baos and the oh so fingerlicking delicious lamb ribs! Yummy cocktails also, would highly recommend ordering the Vietnamese espresso martini for coffee lovers!

In 2015, Little Brother opened and brought Vietnamese lunchtime street food to their part of Little Collins Street. Their incredibly popular lunch menu was renowned for its tasty street food favourites and super-fast service, attracting lines out the door! In late December 2018 the eatery closed for 5 weeks for major renovations, re-opening in late January. The newly renovated space has introduced a new drinks and dinner menu.

I was invited here for dinner and brought a friend who knows his seafood and estuarine fish.
We were greeted and seated by the lovely Akvile and throughout the evening served by Akvile and the equally attentive Trisha.
We dined upstairs and at 7pm, the restaurant was pretty much full. We ordered a few drinks for starters - Miss Mango Martini and a Raspberry & Ginger Caipiroska. The perfect cocktails to start the evening.
For entree, we had the salmon ceviche and a simple chicken rice paper roll. Having spent time travelling through Peru, I know ceviche and this was absolutely superb. My guest couldnā€™t stop praising the blend of salmon flavours along with the texture and finesse of how everything was pulled together for this entree. Big tick for the first course.
Next, we had the barramundi wrapped in bamboo leaf with chilli and coleslaw - shoot me now! It was superb and I mean superb. Freshly wrapped in the leaves, it was warm and tasty with a small side salad that was a perfect accompaniment. Bonus was that another sneaky serve of barramundi was wrapped in another bamboo leaf that we uncovered. Winner! Dinner just got better. My signature lamb ribs with Asian sticky sauce, coleslaw and steak bun bao were ā€˜melt in the mouthā€™ delicious and somewhat of a messy eating experience. Heck - finger licking is okay right?
The staff were so, so good. They know how to swoop in and take dishes that were finished and begin the next course. Their attentive service was much appreciated.
My guest was so impressed by the salmon ceviche he would have had the ceviche again instead of dessert. But we were both full and passed on anything further.
Our privilege was to meet the chef who came out and greeted us with the usual Asian humbleness and was grateful for our kind words on his culinary talents. Iā€™ve always found meeting the chef a privilege, as they are the creators of the meal and yet donā€™t always see the joy they bring to their customers.
All round, an absolutely memorable evening with sumptuous food, appealing decor and considerate staff. @littlebrothers you have a magical formula. I look forward to visiting again and will most certainly recommend to my colleagues, family and friends.
Congratulations to the owners for not just completing a very exciting makeover of the premises but maintaining the quality and service of Little Brothers.
Notes: Wheelchair friendly downstairs. Kid friendly. Clean toilets. Dietaries catered for. Parking isnā€™t too bad but tonight we caught public transport. Trains full with Bulldog and Cats supporters from the Marvel Stadium Game. Go doggies.

This restaurant has only opened at night this week so my partner and I called in. There is a number of tables and chairs upstairs which I havenā€™t seen before.

We ordered some dishes off the feed me menu as the dishes being brought out looked amazing.

As this place is famous for its food and itā€™s cocktails, we had to start with a cocktail each, as you do haha.

We tried a Raspberry and Ginger Mojito which was really good, sweet and it definitely woke me up! We also tried a Miss Mango Martini and this was one of the nicest cocktails Iā€™ve tried in while. It was perfect. If only it came in a jug hahaha

Then we tried some spring rolls which were served w some lettuce leaves and they were crispy and light and full of veggies. Yummo.

Then we had a tofu and a soft shell crab bao bun, and these were delicious! The buns were soft, the tofu was great and I liked the hoisin sauce. The soft shell crab was amazing, crispy and a good sized crab too.

The salmon ceviche was cubed which was a different way of presenting it but still it didnā€™t detract from the flavour and the sauce was moorish.

We tried 2 pieces of barramundi, one of which was cooked really well in banana leaves, but the other for me, needed a bit more cooking.

For dessert w had a coffee panacotta which was really good, the coffee flavour was there, and it was refreshing.

And to finish we had some banana fritters which were golden brown, OMGosh soooo good, and served w a nice pandan leaf sauce.

Overall this was a great dinner w some excellent cocktails and this place is definitely worth a visit.

I also want to thank the owners for the invitation to visit their restaurant.

Little Brother is an established Vietnamese joint in the CBD with a new look. The venue recently reopened after a recent renovation that includes a neon pink-hued upstairs bar and dining area with views of Little Collins Street. The menu offers mostly contemporary spins on classic Vietnamese dishes including thin and crispy banh xeo, rich root vegetable curry, a variety of filled bao and spring or rice paper rolls. All of the aforementioned are available either as vegetarian or with meat. If those don't take your fancy, there are plenty of other meat or vegetable-dominant dishes on offer.

Now that Twenty Pho Seven has rebranded, this might just be my new favourite CBD destination for Vietnamese curry. I am a taro fanatic and this rich clay pot curry is chock full of it. I also really loved the veggie ban xeo, which is rarely found vegan and brimming with tofu and stir fried veg. The spring rolls were nice and the soft, fluffy eggplant bao was even better. If you have room for dessert (I barely did), the banana fritters are a great choice. What's better than deep fried banana? Especially dipped in Pandan custard. Alternatively, a gingery and raspberry mojito is a more light and refreshing post-meal sweet.

Another reason to visit this spot is the recently redone interior including an upstairs dining area with neon lighting, indoor foliage and street views ideal for people watching. The super friendly and informative staff help round out the experience.

Our dinner was lovely! We ordered the Banh Xeo, Baked Salmon and Beef! For dessert, we had the banana fritters with pandan custard. Each dish was delicious with complimenting textures and flavours. The plating was also very beautiful. The decor and music playing was well chosen. Highly recommend coming here for a lovely night.
