It's hard enough finding restaurants with organic options in normal times, I was stoked to find this place open for takeway during COVID-19 times. Love the diverse menu; some dishes are priced fairly and some are a bit expensive for what they are. I've tried the bean soup, the lamb sandwich, the beef brisket sandwich, gluten-free and dairy-free pancakes and the goji bar, all of which tasted healthy and delicious. The staff are friendly though not always knowledgeable when it comes to what ingredients are involved. I believe they have ingredients listed on their menu though. Nice variety of sweet treats but most use rice malt syrup, I believe. Would love to see more options with honey other than the goji bar. Oh and they make their own bread đź‘Ś
A bit of wait for sitting in Melbourne cup day. The service handled it great. Food was out of the ordinary by far for taste for a healthy choice of breakfast.
A must try even if your not local.
I would be the saddest person in Melbourne if I couldn't go to Walk Don't Run a few times a week and nourish my body and soul with this slow-cooked, organic, delicious goodness.
Yeah the Poke bowl is awesome and really exposes a lot of the other cafes in the general south east who take shortcuts with their ingredients and cooking. Refreshing and lively flavours throughout the remaining dishes as well . Coffee is killer too .
Cannot rave enough about this fabulous little cafe. What it lacks in size it certainly makes up for in delectable, healthy dishes using only the freshest, top quality ingredients, with flavours that excite the palate...Will definitely return. Well done Tom and your friendly team.
Amazing food, had the hot chocolate twice in one meal! The vegan brownie and Reuben sandwich were so delicious, will definitely be going back!
One of my favorite cafes in Melbourne. Clean meals, fresh ingredients and lovely staff. My personal favorite is the superfood salad and the matcha latte. Highly recommended!
Absolute best cafe in Melbourne, the food is exceptionally, perfect portion size, full of flavour. Hidden gem in armadale, always my go to. Adore it!
Come here for coffee every now and then and it's normally really nice, however last time I went it tasted a bit burnt. I also find that when you walk in here, it's always a bit awkward, you don't really know where to stand. Have found a few of the staff a bit awkward too. Really cute place though, will need to come here and eat sometime.
Little cafe down a little deadend and the whole premise is that you slow down and actually taste what you eat, so anticipate a relaxed service but OH MY GOD! The most delicious Japanese, wholesome, healthy, tasty food. I’ve been back regularly and almost hesitate to recommend because I don’t want it being crazy busy and too full so I never miss out. Love it so much.
Have loved this small cost cafe for a long time and always make a beeline to eat here if I’m in the neighbourhood. Coffee is excellent and the homemade cakes and slices that are refined sugar free are hard to go by. Everything is made to order with care and love and quality ingredients. It really is a 'mindful eating' experience and you leave feeling you’ve eaten a nutritious meal that has been good for both the mind and soul.
Lovely service, great coffee, and interesting food options.
I really like a place that goes beyond the standard brunch options and offers something unique and nourishing. The savory porridge with chili was warm, salty and a little sweet. Loved the unique flavor and perfect for a Winter’s day.
The superfood breakfast was great too, the highlight being the seed and nut bread that gave a wonderful flavor.
It was also great to see French Press coffee as an option, as I love to sip from a pot of coffee instead of having to order several espressos over the course of my breakfast.
A small café tuck away in a corner near a construction site, yet the food was surprisingly good, a bit pricey but hey...you pay for what you get.
Café with a simple design, a bit rusty if I have to say so myself. At 2 in the afternoon, the café has a chilling atmosphere. The chef, on the other hand, had a look of a yakuza. Well, at least until he smile that is. I was on a rushed so the staff recommend me the Bibimbak. The dish surprised me. Instead of normal white rice, they use brown rice so the texture was different. The dish was lightly flavor but it is lunch so you wouldn't want anything to heavy. I have not tried the rest of the menu so I cannot say the same for the rest. And the staff was friendly ^^
All in all, a nice place to hang with friend, food is really good albeit a bit on the expensive side. Good place
Quickly grabbed a Goji Glow and orange almond cake for my journey to Frankston this morning. Nothing made it to McKinnon. Especially that Goji Glow, ooolala, it has to be the best utilisation of goji berries in human history. Goji berries would be proud to serve in their Goji Glow.
Had a great experience at Walk Don't Run. Delicious food and lovely staff. Unfortunately, I saw on their Instagram that all the COVID lockdowns have made it too difficult for them to continue. Have always loved coming here, I hope the team can regroup at some point!
Really good food. So delicious can't stop thinking about it. Had the soup which is creamy, smooth, delicious, various ingredients that combine to perfection. The toast on the side was really nice and compact, it's great how much effort is put into every detail. Customer service is also excellent. Only downside is there are limited seats and the tables are a little small.
Lovely little cafe with delicious food thoughtfully put together. The space is small and cosy, and service is excellent. There is a wide range of options, from western to Asian styles. Ingredients are fresh and nicely blend together. Definitely a local gem!
