Has always had cravings for Indonesian foods (tasty, spiciness, and full of flavour). I find the authenticity from Ayam Penyet Ria. Famous for its: Ayam Penyet and from the rest of the menu. The foods are as what can be expected from back home. I personally enjoyed their: Ayam Penyet, ayam geprek, empal penyet, batagor, sate ayam, etc. Their prompt and friendly service assured customer feeling taken care of. Ayam Penyet Ria is my top list to go for Indonesian food. Especially during this restriction in Melbourne, their free delivery with minimum order is one thing i am looking forward to..
Perfect. Everything id perfect. Cant wait to try the rest
The only place i can go to have authentic taste of home. I ordered for a delivery and they came pretty quick and friendly customer service. I would order again when i miss more ayam penyet. ๐๐ผ
We had Indonesian food delivered to us
.
Ayam penyat - chicken was precooked and all that that had to be done was to cook the ingredients. The chicken was very cooked. Loved the crumbs that added crunch. The tofu was soft and the tempeh was compressed and we'll flavoured. The signature chilli is quite spicy adding a kick to the dish.
*We had won this dish in a giveaway but review based on own opinion.
Comfort foods all the time! We ordered few times during the lockdown, the foods still maintained the quality as we dined in. Love it.
We loved getting a take-away Indonesian feast from Ayam Penyet Ria to enjoy at home.
To start, we adored the sate Madura - succulent, aromatic, freshly grilled chicken satay skewers which we slathered in the decadent and perfectly spiced satay sauce. The risoles were similarly delicious. Crispy on the outside and filled with s creamy chicken and vegetable mix.
For mains we adored their two signature dishes: the Ayam Penyet (Smashed Fried Chicken) and Iga Penyet (Twice cooked Ribs). The two most sought after dishes by regulars, they were each expertly prepared. An outer crisp layer encased soft and tender chicken and beef courtesy of being slow cooked for many hours before frying. A myriad of spices are used which seep into the meat so that every morsel is full of flavour.
Served with Indonesian favourites such as deep-fried beancurd, soybean cake, an assortment of vegetables and topped with either the luxurious peanut sauce or spicy chilli relish, these dishes offer patrons an authentic taste of East Javanese food.
Ayam Geprek was another stunner. The beautifully battered and seasoned fried chicken was wonderfully crunchy and topped with mouth-watering sambal. A word of caution though, this dish is not for the faint hearted โ the sambal is incredibly delicious but also incredibly spicy!
Dessert time continued to please. The sweet martabak was a must have. A very popular sweet treat in Indonesia, itโs a fluffy and very thick "pancake" with fillings such as chocolate, crushed peanuts, condensed milk and cheese (which as strange as it sounds, works a treat - highly recommend!). The Durian Es Chendol was another winner. Strictly for durian lovers only, this was perfect as a refreshing sweet drink or even as a dessert. This baby is made traditionally with aromatic pandan, gula melaka and coconut milk. The addition of durian morsels made this sheer indulgence.
I used to order their beef iga but somehow too salty recently.
End up, I chose to order their signature chicken gerepek and ayam penyet. Really hope they check before serving.

I ordered the takeaway to have at home. They are really yummy. Probably one of the best indo food I have ever had. Really like their sambal and peanut sauce! Grilled chicken, satae and smashed beef were delicious.

โค๏ธ: Couldnโt have asked for a better spread. We had to signature Ayam Penyet and Ayam Bakar. I especially loved the Gado Gado (peanut sauce ๐๐ฅ) and warm Soto Ayam for this cold weather.
One of the best Indonesian restaurant around, and not to mention cheap and cheerful too. The famous ayam penyet is a must order here โ tender and juicy chicken, with a beautifully crunchy batter and incredibly well-seasoned. The grilled chicken or beef is another must try with its bold and robust flavour. Similarly, the Soto Ayam shines with its deeply savoury broth that is just so comforting and addictive. Pair all of these with the delicious spicy sambal and youโll be in for a gastronomical adventure.
The Iga penyet was delicious and it was comfort food at its best. The chicken sate was great and had authentic flavours. The lamb sate was a bit too sweet but went really well with the peanut sauce in the chicken sate! Service was quick. The table and seats were not too clean but won't stop me from coming back.
It's really good fried chicken. Deep fried well and crispy skin outside. The chicken inside was not too dry. The taste is similar to Hat Yai Fried Chicken in our country as well. The chili paste is eaten separately.
There are 5 choices of chilli paste. Let's make it the most spicy. It's red one. Highly recommend
LOVE this place. The menu is simple, the Indonesian-style fried chicken is so delicious with its crunchy bits and super spicy, home-made chilli sauce. Love the iga and eggplant penyet, fried tahu and tempe as well. The martabak was pretty terrible though, tastes nothing like a real martabak, it was dry, tasteless and bland. The ambiance could also improve but nice enough for a quick lunch/dinner.
1 of Indonesian restaurant that I'll always recommend to my friend whenever they want to try my local food. It's pretty authentic like back home. If you like gado-gado, will strongly recommend theirs because it's so good ๐ฅฐ their beef ribs never fail me, tender and pretty generous portion (can see in picture).
Really delicious grilled slow cook beef meal. The beef is full of flavor, very soft, tender and easily falls off the bone. The peanut sauce goes so well with it and like the side dishes too except the salad which was quite dry. The desserts look good, didnโt get to try. Definitely want to come back and try other dishes.
I tried ayam penyet which was 13$, a bit salty but yum. The plate included tempeh and tofu as well. They have a robot serve you as waiter which is sooooo good, loved that. Highly recommended ๐๐
It is self service you can grab cutlery, water, glass,โฆ
Super friendly and the price is fair๐
I really like the Ayam Bakar! It was so good with the rice and super spicy Indonesian chilli! I tried the Martabak telor today and I couldnโt stop eating it ๐
