Stumbled upon this place by accident, and so glad I did. Only had carrot cake and iced latte, but both were fantastic
Lovely staff! Would recommend the halloumi croissant
Have been here twice in one month
Once with a friend, once alone
They’re lovely, friendly and try hard to please.
Not sure if they’ve ever run a cafe before, it’s all s bit stop/ start and “jerky”.
No drama as long as you’re not in a rush.
Chill- go with the flow
Coffee and food eventually arrives and it’s worth the wait on both counts.
Good, strong coffee.
Delicious simple food.
I’m a fan
I love this place. It’s always extra tasty and never disappoints. Good coffee, very reasonable prices too and the decor is quaint with a quirky courtyard. I love the mushroom bruschetta which comes with candied prosciutto, olives, rocket and goats cheese on sourdough.
Had my best coffee in Melbourne there last year.
Have been thinking about going back.
The design of the cafe is neat but stylish.
I really like the lights there.
I enjoyed the view from the inside to the outside through the big clean window, it feels peaceful.
Interesting menu. The smashed avocado and smashed peas looked delicious but the pumpkin salad I ordered was a bit disappointing. The flavours weren't bad but the pumpkin was very mushy and it probably could have done with a few more ingredients just for balance and texture.
Good place for a nice brunch. The food is good. I tried the 🌽 fritters and loved it. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. Order a cup of babycino if you have a child with you. It's nice and insta-worthy. The lighting in the shop is nice too with sunlight streaming in, making for good photos.
Elceed is located at the quieter side of north melbourne. Small rustic cafe. It was quiet on early Saturday morning with a few people waiting for coffee takeaway. The wait staff are friendly but clearly they are understaffed as we waited about almost half an hour for our coffee to arrive. Good coffee though. We ordered the Chefs special which was the cheddar & spring onion scrambled eggs with hummus filled avocado and almond croissant to share. Food was good but a tad expensive for what it was. $6 for almond croissant and $18 for eggs and avocado.
Service was quick and friendly. Didn't have to wait long for the food to come out however it wasn't particularly busy. The coffee was really good, quite creamy how I like it. Got the smashed avo with a poached egg. Flavours were all on point and not overly rich or salty. Chunks of avo was nice too. Egg was well poached. Would come here again.
The pulled pork burger is the best I have ever tried hands down! I judged this place harshly by the fake plants on the tables outside, which are a little kitsch, but inside is a whole different story and I was surprised by how adorable the inside/courtyard are. We had coffee, which was delicious and there was a pretty rosetta on my flat white. The two girls that served us were both really lovely and knew the menu really well. Such a good alternative to auction rooms. Will definitely be back now I know about this little gem!
The service was quick and friendly. I sat outside with my dog and they were very attentive, asking if I'd like a bowl of water for him while I eat.
The coffee was good, and the food - as unappetising as it was displayed on the plate, was actually really tasting and filling.
Overall it was an enjoyable breakfast.
A small quiet cafe with lots of charm. Lots of sunlight coming through from that huge window so it's bright and airy in the dining area.
My wife tried the spicy beef pie with salad and loved it. It was flavoursome and hearty, perfect for a winter afternoon.
I have the corn and jalapeño fritters with poached egg and it was quite good and can't complain about the avocado that came with it.
Coffee was decent and price was not too expensive. Highly recommended.
Great local find in North Melbourne. The food was terrific and not as pricey as Auction Room or 7 Seeds. We also had one of the better coffees I've tasted in a while here. The space has a terrific relaxed vibe.
It's a not a huge space which I think is a plus because a lot of other larger places become too loud to chat over your meal. So be aware that there could be a line or go just after the rush.
