Bon chicken and beer is one of those late night choices in glenny and they have very friendly staff and decent fried chicken at a fair price.
We haven’t had a bad experience there, the food isn’t exceptional but it’s good. I recommend their soy garlic boneless and sweet chilli boneless.
They are also super nice when offering free refills for your side dishes which is great.
Hands down my favourite korean fried chicken place. I always get that and either the corn cheese or tteokbokki. Their other menu items are just alright which makes me put a 4 rather than a 5.
My friend and I came to Bon Chicken a few weeks ago and it was just as we hoped! Tasty and moist fried chicken with well seasoned fries! There was even chicken for me to take home which still tasted great the day after. Friendly and efficient staff. The interior decor of the restaurant was a bit bland and could be improved but it’s not a big deal when you’re eating great food. Can’t wait to come back!
the food was sooo good would definitely be coming back after experiencing the chicken and different types of flavours
Crispy, crunchy and a mouthful of flavour - that's what you get when you go to Bon chicken. If you enjoy a good Korean fried chicken, couldn't recommend it highly enough 👌🏼
I would say for pure fried chicken, it is the best fried chicken I have had in Melbourne. Been there more than twice, if you just want fried chickens, Bon chicken must be on your list.
It’s a pretty nice place to have some fried chicken parts, decent amount of food, sauces really well. The hot and spicy flavor is tasty along with the juicy chicken. Another dish I found interesting is the fried sausage, it’s neither a main or a snack, but good in taste and chewy texture.

Boneless honey garlic and spicy fried chicken! All I can say is this is some damn good local fried chicken ✊ whether you want sweet or spicy fried chicken they've got you covered 😏 crunchy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside either original or with a marinade of your choice 👌 bowl of steamed rice and pickled radish on the side and this is an easy weekend winner 🍺 waitress told me the this was for two people, but i really couldn't help but finish it on my own 😊 8/10 for taste, texture, portion 🗳
Been here on multiple occasions and used to be my favourite korean fried chicken spot. However, after venturing out and trying other places, I’ve noticed that the chicken here is rather dry in comparison (but it’s still quite good and my favourite sauce would be the soy garlic). My favourite dish that many other restaurants dont sell is the fried rice cakes and it would probably be the only dish I would order now if I were to come here. The texture of the rice cakes are crisp and chewy and have a nice sweet chilli flavour (but the chips are mediocre). I also like their ramen deokbokki as well.

Bon Chicken has expanded with several stores around the Eastern suburbs. This store is very similar to Gami and Nene, with their own different sides.
Staff were very friendly despite order taking a bit of a while, but apologised and were very enthusiastic.
Soy Garlic and Chilli chicken: 4/5
The chicken was tasty, just as good as the other popular Korean fried chicken branches. The outside remained crispy as it was coated with the marinated sauce, and inside was very juicy and succulent, with the right amount of fattiness. I really enjoyed the soy garlic sauce they put on the chicken compared to other fried chicken stores, it wasn’t too heavy on the mouth and was crazy addicting! The chilli sauce was tastier than others, but I recommend this for the brave - it is more on the spicy side than the sweet side, which I prefer.
Rice cake and chips: 3/5
The rice cake and chips were very average. I really enjoyed the crisp to the fried rice cakes, but there were a small amount of rice cakes with a side of good crunchy and flavoured fries, pricey for its simplicity.
