Craving for some indonesian food and decided to try this restaurant. The iga and dendeng sambel ijo were so tasty and rich in flavour. They also sold martabak. It was an indonesian pancake but a bit thicker. I am not sure if they made it by themselves or other people made it for them. However, their martabak was not as impressive as their iga and dendeng. It was too salty and their texture was too soft and not chewy. After all, it was a good place if you want tp try indonesian food. I also heard that their mie ayam was good.

Ordered my fave menu in Fat Oma: chicken satay.
Chicken skewers with delicious peanut and sweet soy sauce leave great taste on my tongue.
I've also tried mie ayam, baso malang, nasi goreng, roti bakar, nasi oma, and sop buntut.. All is good. As Indonesian, I can say the food taste is quite authentic.
In addition, the place atmosphere is good for catching up with friends. Will come back.

Oma knows it best - apparently. If you love Indonesian food in a chill venue with friendly service and at great prices, this is for you. A small but very hearty menu impresses with more than decent servings and great flavours. It felt like going on a journey to Indonesia without even leaving the heart of Melbourne's CBD. Highly recommend the Rendang, which packs a punch of spices and is just falling apart. Definitely coming back more regularly. Seb
Not a bad place to get Indonesian food in the city. I'm a massive fan of Soto Mie so I was glad to see that on the menu. Sure, it doesn't taste like the ones I've had in Jakarta and the soup was lacking in the punchy flavour department but, it was still quite decent. The mie ayam wasn't too bad either.
I'm half Indonesian and always loved going to Indonesia for vacations just for the food.
This place is one of the new modernised spots for indonesian food.
Was hesitant to try it but surely wasn't dissappointed. Cheap prices and good food.
Ordered Mie ayam and Soto Mie, satay to share and extra sambal terasi. Mie ayam was so and so but the soto was slightly better, tasted like a homemade meal my mum would make. Ive had better satay but this place offered a more indonesian-streetfood kind of feel instead of the westernised satay you'll find in most places nowadays.
Would come back again and would recommend this place to people that want to try Indo food.

Returned today to try the Nasi Oma which is a combo dish. Was not dissapointed. Great comfort food and very filling.
our fav here is the chicken balado. the place is quite small, but food is 3.9/5 . the sambal is so good. staffs were friendly. food was quick but unfortunately cash only, so i need to cash out before i come.
Tried the soto mie. Being and Indonesian, I found the taste was so so. But I haven't tried their other foodstuff.
Another minus point is that there's only a set of condiments and a box of tissue to share with all the others. I think it would be nice to have it on every table.
I love this indo restaurant !! it taste really good👍🏼 and the service was good too despite the busy timing!! I love the ayam belado and bakmi ayam!!
Been here quite few times and noticed their food tastes are not in same consistency except bakso malang. I like their bakso malang, more delicious than the one in Indonesia.
A solid 5* Indonesian food. A bit pricey compared to other Indonesian around CBD but very well worth it.
Ordered their "Nasi Oma" and Dendeng Cabe Hijau (add 2$ for jasmine rice)". Both are extremely nice.
Their Nasi Oma has this extremely nice peanut sauce with chicken satay. This peanut sauce is D E L I C I O U S. The Rendang is very tender and well marinated.
Dendeng Cabe is similar with the rendang. Very tender and well made.
Service is also solid 5*.
Overall 4 out of 5. A slight price reduction will change my review to 5*!
One of my favourite Indonesian restaurants in the city. Their chicken noodle is very good!
Excellent food! My partner and I ordered the Nasi Goreng, Beef Rendang and satay chicken skewers, and it all tasted amazing. The beef was really tender and very tasty. Nasi Goreng was probably the best I've had and a really good serving size. Chicken skewers were nicely cooked with a great flavour. A small place, but not too crowded and the food came out pretty quickly.
