Get yourself the Vietnamese pork sausage roll and you will never look back! I used to get this everyday when I worked nearby, now I don’t work in the area I can’t eat Kenny’s everyday and I’ve lost some weight but it hasn’t been worth the loss of my favourite roll ever and I miss it so much. The cold meats roll is pretty good too.
Points for: Fresh bread, good value.
Really good Vietnamese banh mi baguettes here. They bake their bread inhouse so it's fresh and crusty, and they have a range of fillings available.
I went with the bbq pork sausage nem noung, which has a sticky, garlicky sweet taste - it's one of my favourites. Added pate to it as well, which is another flavour bomb.
Love how everything collects at the end of the baguette and the last bite is the best.
At $7-8 a baguette, you can't go wrong!
I've been exploring the places down Equitable Place and decided to give Kenny's a try. I had the Vietnamese Pork roll for lunch and got a reasonable amount of change from $10. There was a variety of pork meats in a crispy fresh roll with s fragrant Asian salad, plenty of coriander and chilli. Service was quick and roll was tasty enough for something on the run. Kenny's had a range of hot pies, pasties and sausage rolls should you need some heated pastry in your system.
Had never heard of this chain, which has a number of branches throughout the cbd. They did a fairly authentic Vietnamese roll despite it being a franchise that doesn't specialise in it specifically. It tasted fresh, even though it was at the end of the day, and the ingredients were of decent quality.
Friendly staff, nice food. Relaxed environment (well, as relaxed as you can be in the middle of the city hustle and bustle). Great place to grab a quick bite or hold impromptu meetings when the meeting rooms in your office block are all booked out.
The Vietnamese pork roll is really good
