When it comes to pizza shops, there are 2 categories - GOURMET and PIZZA SHOP. Joes is at the abolute top of the PIZZA SHOP category. Their pizzas are glourious. Hard crispy bases, with softer dough on top. Your teeth will sink into it. They take real care in the layering of ingredients, to allow for the best possible experience for your pallete. A vegetarian, for example, has a juicy sauce, topped with cheese, then topped with veggies, then a bit more cheese. This supreme layering technique must be learned from the lords of New York for sure.
Now let's have a chat about the ingredients. Joes do not skimp. They have made sure that their ingredients are not your stock standard, bulk purchase garbos that other places use. Their ingredients are fresh and have TASTE. Love it. Keep up the good work.
The pizzas are always cooked for the perfecto amount of time - not too short or long, but just enough for the perfect crunch and wetness. They should call themselves Curly Goldilocks in my opinion.
Service. The staff here are GREAT! Always smiling and always polite. They take time to have a chat and make you feel important. Great customer service. If you are ever needing a delivery option, they will whip over to your house so quick that the 'za is still too hot to eat. This is impressive. Uber Eats got nothing on them.
And let's talk about TIMING. They should call themselves Speedy Joes! Every time you call up, even if it's 7pm on a Friday night, it's a 10 minute turnaround. Most of the time, I can't even drive over there before it's ready. Rare stuff.
Great work Joes - I'll be back many times more. You are the best.
I recently ordered some delivery from them and the food was good! Also the prices were more than affordable.
I never been in the place, i just ordered from home... so from what i can judge the experience was not disappointing.
As good as the restaurant. Years ago I remember eating at Curly Joe's on Sydney Road and was so good I vowed to go back. I may have gone back once or twice. Fifteen years on and I now live in the area and discovered the drive through express. Could it be as good as the old restaurant? I wasn't expecting too much, though must say I was pretty impressed. The pizza was already ready when we arrived about 10-15 minutes after we ordered. By drive through it is more like a bottle shop than a McDonald's, as you can park right outside the door but you have to go in yourself. Nice dough, crispy around the edges and not too thick. The lamb topping we ordered was tasty and just right. Will definitely go back again when the need arises.
