We come here regularly. The staff are so lovely and accommodating. We love supporting local families and businesses. The food is classic japanese. We love the sashimi, wasabi prawns and teriyaki beef. The banquet is exceptional value.
Came here as my mum told me she knew the chef here and he use to cook for a steak house she use to always god to in Richmond. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived but quickly filled up , the food tasted pretty fresh but was not spectacular. The beef we ordered was cooked to perfection but we found the price of the menu very high ..
Foods are nice!!!!love the sushi tho. Very friendly staff and had a good time!!!!!!Highly recommend! Definitely come back again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Vegetarian banquet is delicious and the staff are very friendly here. The tofu steak and nasu dengakku are amazing! We have had both eat in and takeaway and the quality is great for both.
Food was great with very friendly service. We had a table of 6 and we shared plates. Some of the mains were hard to
Share amongst 6 but the entrees made up for that. We will definitely be back again, soon I hope
I really liked this place. The environment is comfortable, the staff are friendly and the food was great overall. We ordered Gyoza, Sushi and sashimi, Tempura, Beef teriyaki, steamed rise and green tea ice cream. They Gyoza was cooked well and we liked the flavor and texture. The sushi and sashimi were fresh which is always a good sign. We found the tempura to be cooked as it should be with the batter not too thick but crunchy. The Beef Teriyaki was tender and the green ice cream refreshing. Their prices are also very reasonable for what you get. We will definitely be back.
I really like the Unagi Don here. A great family owned restaurant with super friendly service. The price is reasonable compared to some other Japanese restaurants. Would like to come back again.
Ive been to WaFu multiple times, usually me and my dad go here weekly to catch up. After reading such poor reviews I had to write one myself.
Every time I have been I have had good service and amazing food. Ive had nearly everything from the menu and enjoy it all. Its well priced and the food comes out fast. I absolutely love Japanese food and travel across melbourne for it, and this still remains one of my favourite places

Was a favourite when I lived in Hawthorn. It's so good that I often travel from Watsonia to come here for date night. Fantastic food, consistently great service and decent prices. Love it!
