Super crunchy chips and super delicious burgers! I got the American Cheese with chips in a deal for $10 which was an absolute bargain. The bun was soft and the secret sauce was really tasty - similar to the sauce used at In-N-Out burger in America.
Definitely one of the better burger spots in the city!
I love this place. Super tasty burgers and their chips are so crunchy! My go to burger order is the Cheese with added bacon, with fries and a drink. The salad in the burger is always fresh and the patty and bacon is 100% delicious!
Came here on Friday for lunch and I did not expect it to be so busy at all. The restaurant is huge and it was filled with people. Despite how busy it was, the service was quick. The burger was yummy and juicy. I liked how the patty was thicker than usual and the bun was thin and fluffy. Would love to come back to try other burgers on the menu.
Visited on a Sunday afternoon where the store was literally empty. The real milkshakes are the real deal in any flavour. These are non-negotiable in ordering imo.
The cheeseburgers ordered were cooked to bolster Neil Perry's in the fast food section as well. Probably the best burgers in Melbourne for me to date and that is a tall order.

We had gotten the fried chicken katsu burger and double beef burger.
Fried chicken katsu - I was a bit skeptical of this burger at first as it was my first time trying a fried chicken katsu patty but it exceeded my expectations as the fried chicken was very crispy and went well with the coleslaw and lettuce!
Double beef - The beef patties were pretty chunky and juicy but was a bit too oily for my liking.
Overall, Burger Project is a typical burger joint which fixes up your cravings for meat! Would love to go back to try their desserts and shakes!
Honestly didn’t enjoy the classic burger the first time but upon going to the Bourke St store, it’s definitely changed my mind. Staff are fast and efficient, especially during the CBD lunchtime rush. Would recommend the Aussie or the Chilli Cheese. With a passion pop soda or house made iced tea 🍔👌🏼 The beef patty is ground nicely and the sauces aren’t messy and overpowering.
I was surprised by how big this place was and even more so by how empty it was on a Tuesday evening. I was worried that it meant it wasn't as good as its reputation. However, I was not disappointed. One of the best burgers I had in Melbourne. I had the cheese burger with bacon and everything was perfect from the patty, the bun, the cheese, the bacon, the stuff that came with it to the sauce. The ingredients felt fresh and clean. The chips were good. I'll be coming back!
Good juicy burger, nicely battered chips and unlimited drinks. Great if your hankering for something quick but not too much of a takeaway. it's a bit pricey for a burger and all but not too bad when its for more than one person coz then u can share the cost. Great spot for eating in as well with large numbers of people
Pretty good burger! I like the fact that they have iced tea as an option as well as a burger in a bowl. Their prices are also very affordable. Highly recommend this for a quick but delicious meal
This outlet of Burger Project is HUGE. Not in an obvious location, it’s very much in the legal district, and away from the malls in the CBD. I’ve tried their regular burgers, their limited edition Vegemite Burger, and their Barnyard Stack Burger (also limited edition). The chips are bonza, especially with that chives and bacon chip dip, that stuff is addictive. Other burgers might look pretty, but burger project makes you feel pretty.
If you want a burger that feels clean, and you don’t want to feel like you’ve eaten garbage 30 minutes later, eat here.
If you want consistent product, with fresh ingredients, eat here.
If you want Instagram worthy burgers, rethink what pretty means to you, then eat here. The end.
An okay burger place, the burgers are cooked quickly which is great, they have their production line perfected. There is plenty of inside seating as well and the place is nice and clean. The mushroom burger was cooked well, good flavours and a reasonable price ($12). The spicy chips are tasty. The fizzy drinks are refillable as they give you a cup to use and you fill it up yourself. Not a bad lunch option.
One of the Must go places in Melbourne, delicious burgers. There's no place in the city you can find the taste, the variety and of course the prices! I've tried almost all the options and let me tell you'll do it to.
I can eat here everyday. The spicy chicken katsu burger is very yummy!! It’s a little pricey especially if you get a meal. But once you take the first bite, you don’t feel bad about spending $20.
Great burgers. Probably some of the best patties that you can get in Melbourne.
Milkshakes are also yum.
Gets very busy during peak times, so arrive early if you are after a quick meal.

Nice stop for a burger. Burgers are what I would term gourmet. Quality ingredients. I had the cheese deluxe. Came with Cape Grim patty, cheese etc on a brioche bun. Fries and small drink $19.09. It’s up there for a burger combo - but good quality offsets the price nicely.
Delicious burgers and their thick shakes are to die for. The size of burgers are good for me but some people might think they are small
This place has a delicious variety of hamburgers and milkshakes.
Gets very very busy at lunch time.
The food is great but the service is slower than other good places close to it.
