What an incredible venue. The process of organising a corporate event with 60+ guests is stressful, but the amazing staff at The Lucky were helping every step of the way making it all so easy, and it didn't stop once we arrived for our function. They were easy-going, delightful and so helpful the entire time. To top it off, the food was perfect. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
I just wanted to say, I was very grateful for Lucus's help this evening when it came to a request for vegan options. He was very respectful of my dietary requirements as were the staff when ordering. I was very impressed with the food I received and would highly recommend this venue for dinner, drinks and amazing atmosphere. Thank for a lovely evening �
We had the best little weekend getaway at the Lucky! The location is perfect to walk to the waterfront, cafes, restaurants, shops…anything. The courtyard is so pretty and a perfect spot to hang out for a few drinks and sample the very yummy food. And the rooms - wow! I did not expect pub accommodation to be of such high standard. Generous size rooms with ensuite, super clean, and comfortable bed. And the staff was so lovely. What more can you ask for? We’ll be back!

What a surprise package this place is. I met a friend who was staying in Newcastle the other night for a drink at The Lucky, not having really ever been beyond the front bar. Through the centre of this central icon is a super courtyard area which doubles as a beer garden and bistro. Its like an inner city oasis with green and light. We ended up grabbing a couple of plates to share as the menu sounded really good, and we were told that the new chef has taken things up a level. The dishes were substantial without being over done, and it was obvious that they'd used better than pub standard produce as everything was fresh and bright and super tasty. The menu catered for everyone but we liked the fact that there were really great salads and fish, and not only fried food like you find on so many pub menus. It has accommodation and all the rooms have ensuites, such a welcome departure to the usual pub standard accommodation, and they are spacious and super modern and so clean. Now when we have friends visiting us in Newcastle, I'll definitely know where to suggest they stay. This is a hidden gem.
This is a great place to stay overnight and for food.
We had the haloumi burger and the Superfood salad with chicken. Everything was delicious, the portions generous and they also have a good selection of drinks. The staff are lovely and the environment/vibe funky and welcoming.
The room was clean and modern.

Such a great spot to stay in Newcastle, 10/10! Very central location, Amber on the desk was a champion, rooms really nice and the pub was also great atmosphere. Will be back every time we’re in Newcastle
Popped in for lunch. Really great food. Awesome exposed brick outdoor type area was beautiful and warm.
Unfortunately we walked in a bit lost and had to look for menus, where to order and staff. No biggy though.

great atmosphere. DJ for music. Food was fantastic and staff very pleasant. Hard to get close parking. I recommend using the tram to get here as it is very close to tram station.
