Have been frequenting the Mattara Hotel now for quite a few years and they never fail to deliver. In the past couple of years they have really stepped up adding a great new menu with a variety of meals which not only look good but taste delicious. Visited for a meal over this June Long Weekend and the bistro was getting hammered.. The bad weather obviously had people flocking indoors. The staff pulled together, stayed focused, kept smiling and did an incredible job.. Well done everyone for an amazing effort this weekend. And, as always a great meal at an affordable price.
Went for dinner. The girl in the bistro serving was lovely as were the bar staff. Had the ribs and wings combo and it was amazing definitely recommend!

Staff were friendly and attentive, and the venue was large, clean, and modern for the most part. Parking was easy, with plenty in the public carpark opposite. Meals were quick to arrive, reasonably priced, and tasted nice (but not great). A little disappointed because the menu on their website was old so some items weren't available, and also the "order on your phone from your table" also said many of the items were unavailable (although we could buy them in person at the cashier). Drinks were a little expensive, even for soft drinks, and the kids play area was quite tatty and rundown. Overall a good experience, would come again, but am not rushing back.
Just had lunch here with a couple of friends today, Tuesday 28th. We all commented on the excellent service. The staff in the restaurant area today, all gentlemen, were friendly, attentive, worked as a team and made a positive impression on us. I would like management to know you have some excellent staff, one who took our order told us he had just started, and they deserve praise. The people with me own a commercial cleaning company and commented on the attention to detail they had when cleaning and keeping an eye on the area. So congratulations all round. Food was great and well priced too. I'm just sorry I didn't get their names.
5+++++++++ for Bell and Nat. Absolutely fantastic service from both these girls. They went above and beyond. Absolutely fantastic coming from working also in hospitality also I was watching bell work the way she was communicating with all the customers was amazing she definitely deserves a pay rise or a promotion into bistro supervisor or even into management if I owned my own tavern shed definitely be up into those roles real quick. The Attention to detail with the words and her personality was was incredible. Also amazing work to both girls running a full FOH bistro by them selves was incredible no mistakes one bit. I can’t praise you both enough. Great work. One team one dream 🙏

Just had a lovely lunch here.The decor looks nice, service was exceptional. Each of the staff members we encountered were energetic, smiling and aiming to please without being smothering. They were on top of everything. Drinks were delivered to our table as was our order. I recommend the chef’s specials, the Nasi Goreng with satay skewers was delicious and a decent serve for the price. We were able to use a voucher here which gave us a discount. We enjoyed a comfortable hour here in front of the fire before heading to the movies.
