I have tried a lot of pho soups in Sydney and I can say with certainty that Hongs Pho for me is one of the best. If the food stays as good as it is I will be a customer for life.

It's really nice but I personally don't like thick glass noddles. I finished the soup. it's really nice in the cold freezing winter evening. Next time, I am going to try their signature beef pho.

I would like to have the three choices with rice but these dishes are not available anymore.
Very delicious chicken noodle soup! Big portions, good price, friendly staff, definitely a must if you haven't tried chicken noodle soup before. Be sure to try the other options on the menu like the special beef noodle soup and the crispy chicken rice.
Although the restaurant looks very ordinary, it offers one of the best phos I have ever tried. Do not let its looks fool you. With $14 you get a bowl of pho with generous pieces of beef. Perfect as an after class reward for Usyd students!
My favourite pho place in Sydney hands down!! I've eaten at quite a few places in Sydney, and this place is still my favourite!!! The owner, Hong is lovely and we always have a nice chat with her. Good to go with a group of friends after class for lunch cause it's right next to USyd
Agree with all the positive reviews. This place is a great little find on the northern end of King street. It's best for take aways. Prices are moderate ($25-30 for 2), but the food is very authentic and fresh.
This place is a regular for mid-week dinner take aways and the best Viet restaurant in Newtown area.
Best Vietnamese in Newtown. Hard to go past the pho and vermicelli salad, both fresh and crispy with great flavour. Lovely staff and quick service. A great find.
Another one of those great little family run operations. A nice room fit out with Daughter and Pa running service, Ma in the kitchen making some pretty tasty food. Bún Bò Hūe is delicious. The menu seems to be on the slightly pricey side.
Been here a number of times and the vegetarian food is always very fresh with a wide variety of options. Some of the nicest staff of that area of Newtown, and they're always willing to accommodate special requests.
Amazing tasty food! My favourite Pho ever. Sad to hear from the owner that due to low revenue and high rent it might be shut down in three weeks… ;( I’ll go show my support as much as I can cuz the food is really great and healthy with lots of vegetables and meat inside. Great value indeed.
Not the greatest pho I’ve had but it was very good with lots of meat. Felt very rustic and traditional and you can tell it’s a family run restaurant with ma and pa cooking out the back. Will go back again.
Been here two times, second time I drove here by myself to have lunch cos I had a craving for pho. Roast duck pho and spring rolls are very good. Tasty, good value, and quick service.
Pretty good pho, I loved that you could add $2 for tendons. The broth was not bad, not the best but still pretty good. They have quite a big selection of food here too and price is very good so will definitely come back
Good service and great pho for $13-14 - decent serving size, generous with the tripe. The fresh chilli (on the side) has got a real kick to it. Prefer it to pho 236 down the road which has changed hands recently. FYI they no longer allow split billing on eftpos. Just wish they were open Sundays too!
The food here is consistently delicious, whether you eat in or get takeaway, and the service is quick and polite. The broth in the beef soup is flavourful, the pork and prawn spring rolls are clearly freshly hand-made and are some of the best I've had, and there are generous servings of protein in the noodle dishes. Further, the rice paper rolls have a lovely texture and the dipping sauce is delicious.
Best Vietnamese food I’ve had in my whole life. Honestly this place has not disappointed. The Duck Pho is a highlight (must try) as are the pork & prawn spring rolls. The business is operated by a friendly older Vietnamese couple, who are always attentive. I’ve tried other Vietnamese restos in Marrickville (which are far trendier) however Hong Pho is above and beyond any other I’ve tried.
