Consistently good coffee, friendly people and small selection of food but everything i have tried has been good... with the exception of the muffins... they are probably the best i have tried in Perth.
Grabbed a toasted sandwich from the cabinet and an iced latte. Both were pretty decent. I'd recommend only coming here for a takeaway as it's pretty cramped, especially during the lunch rush hour.
Everyone is so friendly and Zennish ! Its a cool little spot and it smells devine inside.The thing that made me go in is the $10 Coffee and toastie special , its really not bad (coffee too) just need a little dash of HP sauce (and no Im not English at all). Their sandwiches and pastries look great and Im happy to put the strawberry & Nutella muffin next on my list. ☕. Love the friendly faces, just what I needed this morning.
Went there in the morning and was really busy. In shafto lane it is quite urban look with coffee, sweets and breakfast all available. Staff were well dressed and friendly service was very prompt. Only a small wait but was really busy for coffee. The coffee was really really nice with a great flavour!! Recommend trying!
All I can say is I finally found my work local! I usually go to Lowdown as my regular but seeing it is closed on its annual xmas/new years sabbatical thought i would take a punt on Hopper...and it didn't disappoint!
Not only did it have my fav coffee beans, Five Senses, but the selection of single origins and filtered coffees on offer was intriguing and entice me to make a mental note to try everything.
I ordered a white coffee using their house blend, which I believed was the Five Senses Dark Horse Blend. The coffee was smooth and not pipping hot for once (as is the general trait of a bad barista) and a valvety after taste making it just right. This is definitely one of the best coffees I have ever had in the Perth CBD area and will definitely be coming back!
The barista recommended I get their Chilled Batch Brew, a filtered coffee that is then refrigerated as an alternative, and after the first sip I would have to say it is now one of my favourite cold coffees in the Perth CBD! I think I’ll be alternating between Hopper Espresso’s Cold Batch Brew and...
Tremendous coffee. And the home made caramel slice is delicious, considering the twin turn offs of 'dairy free' and 'gluten free' this little piece truly rocks.

Good coffee, but that tide . . .. Good coffee. My only recommendation would be to increase the tide of the amount of coffee in the cup. If every café in the CBD fills their cups to the brim, I am not sure why Hopper would choose to do otherwise. Coffee in the city is already fairly expensive, so I hardly think anyone would appreciate a cup of coffee only filled 3/4 of the way. Other than that, good coffee.
Solid coffee. Great coffee and a quick pace, served by really friendly staff.
I got here usually a few times a week and its consistently awesome.
Better than a lot of other cafés within a stone's throw. Good food for a decent price, too.

Had a Long Mac (which I always find to be a good barista skill tester) of the Nicaragua single origin beans, and it was great. Also had a caramel slice, which was delish. Will happily come back again.

Cant beat a great $6 mushroom Toasty. Well priced, tasty and quick.
Coffee was awesome. One of the better ones in Perth in my opinion. Had the single origins from Brazil. Chocolate tones, naturally sweet. Soft finish and full flavour. Barrister was engaging, good to see them chatting with the customer's instead of just pumping coffees.
A+ . I will be back.
Popped in here as part of my Perth espresso hunt after recently moving here.
Had a pulled beef and slaw sandwich with a cold drip. Both were great! The coffee was fantastic a day I'll definitely be back. Also grabbed a 1/2kg of their house blend.
Super-friendly service and a nice and comfy place to sit down and have a relaxing bite.
Love the coffee and the friendliness of the staff. I wish they did lactose free milk but the soy is also not a bad choice and I don't feel like I can penalise Hoppers for that. The coffee is lovely, right temperature and taste and is consistant every time. I liked the coffee so much that I bought the coffee beans back to Brisbane!
When I worked closer to this cafe, every morning I would enjoy their batch brew and drip coffee on my way to work. I remember ordering their cold drip coffee in the warmer months. It's the perfect start to the day, and it gave me something to look forward to before the dreaded walk to work.
