The flavours in all of the dishes were incredible! My partner demolished the roti bread (non gf) and he said it was the best roti bread he’s had. The green chicken curry was so creamy and full of flavour with a little kick of spice but no too much (unless you accidentally eat one of the chillis). For me the chicken ribs were incredible, gluten free yet so crispy! Absolutely loved them!
I think the food is beautiful, the only thing we weren’t super keen on was the big chunks of pineapple in the massaman. The flavour of the sauce was super sweet and you could taste the pineapple through it, a very clever way of making it sweet and a cheeky twist on a massaman. I just really dislike pineapple personally.
Thanks so much for a fab meal! We will definitely be back as the whole ordering process was super easy. We can’t wait until we can actually dine in.
Just had takeaway from Kekou for family of 4. Amazing flavour. Very high quality food. There must be a seriously good chef and kitchen at Kekou. Well done. Keep it up and we will be back again and again. The two teenage kids loved it too!
Kekou has taken Asian fusion food to the highest of the highest standards. Totally blew my mind. I love Pad Thai omg those prawns are so gooood and the idea of adding raw sour mango to dish is just great! The pork belly is amazing...so tender but still crispy outside. The banana pudding dessert is heaven to me could not have enough of it. This is my third time here trust me everything (both food and drinks) is yum definitely will go back over and over again.
Fabulous banquet and brilliant staff. They put up with our large and somewhat demanding group. Highly recommend this newcomer to anyone looking for a great meal with great service.

Kekou melbourne is currently on Groupon and #zomatogold (buy 2 free 2 drinks). I guarantee that this is a value for money dining experience (and I rarely guantantee in my reviews!)
🌿 first up, this restaurant is ideal for first dates or even birthday dinners. I came during the valentines weekend and there were plenty of couples. Very classy ambience. Although my partner and I was seated on a sharing table, I couldn’t hear what the other couple’s conversation.
🍗 the fried chicken ribs was perfectly done. For a starter, the portions were huge. The chicken ribs were well seasoned with turmeric and there was a good skin:meat ratio. The spiced yoghurt dipping sauce paid homage to Indian cuisine and went really well with fried chicken (who would have guessed?)
🍖The pandan smoked leg duck was a spectacle to start with. They captured all the smoke and unraveled it before our eyes. Duck meat also fell off the bone easily. I always have issues with smoked meat being a bit dry but this was not the case at all - meat texture was tender and it retained its flavour.
🦞As for the main course, the Moreton bay bugs!! It was cooked well with a distinct curry flavour. There wasn’t a whole lot of meat to go around, so you might not finish your rice with the dish alone.
Special shout out must be given to the roti - it was so crispy and tasted similar to the one I had back in Malaysia
All in all, I had a fantastic meal at Kekou and it’s quite worth the hype. The blonde waitress serving us wasn’t very warm but hey! The chefs in the kitchen made such a lasting impression that i would definitely be back for another meal here.

Wow! My first 5 star review in a while. This place was top notch, and I feel like the chef, Oak Kunnalok, is a bit of a prodigy in the same vein as Khanh at Sunda. The interior has lots of green and is just a comfortable place to be. We didn’t have a huge amount of time, and wanted to try an array of dishes so went with 7 of the small eats. Edamame is such a standard dish but they served it with fermented chili and garlic that was perfect. One of the best edamame ever! The turmeric chicken wings were moist and juicy with a perfect crust. The lobster betel leaf was a mouthful of perfection as were the pork & prawn wontons. Pie tees looked fabulous presented on uncooked rice and as were the scallops. The roti was so crispy and buttery that we wanted more. To finish we had the steamed banana pudding. Overall, I can’t express how good this experience was, and we will definitely be back very soon! Staff were all helpful and knowledgeable and shout-out to the waitress who moved us from the bar area to a sit down table at our request.

The food: yum yum yum. Asian fushion food to the highest standard, it's creative, fresh, delicious, flavour bomb. Love everything that we tried. Got this groupon voucher for two for $69. We chose the tasting plate which gives u 4 chef selected dishes instead of 3 dishes of ur choice. The price includes wine or beer for two, so it's real good value of money there. We got good quality, high value ingredients like king prawn, king fish sashimi, pork belly, lobster ball. It's really a feast that can totally satisfy ur taste buds. They're happy for me to order a yuzu sparkling which is really good, free of charge even though it's not included in the deal. So definitely point for friendly service. Good for big groups, spacious sitting area, good, chill vibe. Definitely will come back with friends to try more food. Oh, btw, their desserts look to die for. Too bad we were too full to try any. Next time next time.

Dined on a great value Groupon voucher. We enjoyed a tasting menu of lobster betel leaf & chicken ribs followed by kingfish sashimi & pad thai prawn & pork belly with rice. Deal also included a drink each. All the dishes were well presented & had delicious flavour combinations. Staff friendly. Really enjoyed dining here & will return.
Explored this place for a special occasion, must say it was a perfect pick. The ambiance was warm and welcoming. Good and different collection of cocktails. We got the feed me menu, loved every course except the taro croquettes that was a bit bland and the rice not being warm/hot. The presentation was simple and elegant. The baked pecan cake was a great finish to the dinner, one of the best cakes I have ever had, just the right amount of crispy and sweet. Over all good food and customer service.
Very unique Asian fusion. Quality ingredients, with great flavour and depth. Lots of options. Great for sharing! I went as a walk in for Mother’s Day, they were very nice and carefully explained all the dishes. The ceviche was gorgeously flavoured as was the betel leaf. The balloon bread with spreads was so interesting and tasty. The chicken ribs were cooked well but just a little over salted, maybe because they were totally full for Mother’s Day so producing large quantities. I found the portions generous for the pricing as well, which can be hard to come by. Will return with friends!
We had an excellent long lunch here. The venue, service and atmosphere were excellent and the food was great for the price. We had the "Feed Me" option.
The some dishes might have been overly reliant on the sweet palm sugar flavours holding it together but it's a minor gripe.

The moment you walk in you're greeted with warmth and loved by the FOH team. The service was tentative and nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing and each dish was balanced with flavour from umami of sweet sour and salty. Made fresh and presented well. You can choose any dish and you'll won't be disappointed. The bread bowl was unique and had an amazing smoked smell from the moment it landed on the table. The rest was just more amazing one after the after. I can sit here and tell you the best of each dish but I'll let you pick what you feel like and I assure you go home and rave on it as well.
Book in advance and if you have more than 4 people take the feed me option and let the chef showcase their top dishes. The feed me menu is their best seller not just whatever is easy to make for larger group.

We had the "feed me" option and to us personally it came with good range selection of entree and main, and 1 dessert. Worth the price of $79 (if I am not mistaken), and certainly will leave you comfortably full after full courses. Just make sure to book a table in advance as it might get busy during the serving period.
I've been recommending this place to everyone now! Everything was a standout so there is really something for all, especially if fusion or SE Asian cuisine is your thing. I highly recommend the really cool balloon bread and the satisfaction of hitting it with a spoon! The lobster betel leaf was packed with flavour. Also recommend the crispy pork belly - perfect texture and the sauce was so sweet and sticky in the best way possible. The slow braised beef rib with crispy noodle was so much fun to mix up ourselves and the sauce was to die for.. literally was drinking it up because soo hearty + coconut-ty.
Can’t wait to go back again :) We were both so so impressed with all the dishes and it was even more fantastic to see how the restaurant filled up so much as the night progressed given that they opened just before the pandemic hit :( Definitely one of my favourite restaurants so far.
One of the best Asian fusion restaurants in Melbourne! Staffs are very friendly and professional too.
