Came here for Anzac Day. Opened at 0600 which was nice for somewhere to go. Sydney’s oldest
Pub is their claim to fame, not a bad little little joint. Staff are friendly and beers are cold. Didn’t try the food so can’t comment on that... overall was happy with everything else.

Excellent pub, with a great atmosphere. We went there on a quietish Wednesday night, and the service was very attentive and the food was exactly what we wanted. A beautifully cooked steak with perfectly cooked chips. The salad was unique, but still very tasty and refreshing. Great bar staff too!

For the people who have read my first review on Tommy's caffe, they would know that I like schnitzel so thats why I ordered it again on Friday night 5th June for dinner, it came with slaw salad, chips and a red wine jus.

There was only one thing that I thought that was strange, and it was the red wine jus.

What a classic Aussie pub! Great simple food paired with a great drinks list! Such a cool old pub with a very nice open and modern outdoor eating area! Whilst still keeping the old school style pub alive on the inside! Had the chicken parmigiana, fish and chips and hamburger! Great food! Staff where very kind and friendly! Will definitely return at some point!

Great food, excellent location and live music - ticked all the boxes for us, and we managed to get a seat outside next to a heater. I know you didn't come here for a history lesson, but what looks like a typical Victorian pub back in England, was actually established in the Georgian era, or to be more specific, the Regency era. Lesson over. It's a fantastic pub and well worth a visit. 👍

It's an amazing venue, it's the oldest pub in Sydney. The staff are fantastic and live music in the beer garden. Good vibes in the heart of The Rocks

Great little pub on the rocks, a must visit. They have additional setting outside now and have been doing some great live music. Would strongly suggest for some afternoon drinks.

Absolutely amazing venue. Friendly staff & safe security who I’ve watched handle abusive clientele with respect & patience. The food is amazing. Get the broccolini! It’s a must try!! The artist singing had all of us singing along & having the best night out. We stopped for a drink & stayed for hours. 10/10 and a highlight of our girls trip to the city!

Great to get the opportunity to have a frothy in Australia's oldest pub (had a couple actually). Sat outside amongst the throng with my family and it was terrific. The QR code order system works really well, and it was quite quick too. As a tourist (from Adelaide), sitting near the harbour, the bridge as a backdrop, and a cold Tooheys New Schooner in hand.... Priceless.

Booked four people lunch Sunday. Loved the old heritage quaintness of the hotel. We dined in the bistro upstairs, light bright and airy, and not too crowded although fully booked. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Efficient, attentive and friendly. The guys ordered the beef stew with fresh chunky bread for dipping. They loved the flavours , no complaints there but felt the gravy juices perhaps could have been a tad thicker. The chips were great too. Two of us ordered the goats cheese pumpkin salad with the chicken and rocket. . Lots and lots of rocket. Perhaps the goats cheese and pumpkin could have been a bit more generous. No complaints with the taste, it was everything and more. I’d order the dish again. We had a fabulous afternoon and price wise was very fair. We’ll definitely be back with friends. The charm of this hotel is quite exceptional. I’ve only given 4.5 stars only because as said above a little additional here and there would have gone a long way to full stars. We had a lovely time, thank you.

Oldest pub in Sydney. Don’t expect much in terms of flashy decor. Simple setting, affordable drinks with live music during the week. Wish they made better use of their sitting areas.
