Our first visit since the relocation & re-opening. The new place is awesome. The King now has his Palace!!!!
We had the bbq duck & pork combo, salt & pepper prawns & calamar comboi, veggies & fried rice - all cooked to perfection
Found this place by accident decades ago best roast duck in Sydney, I was disappointed to find the old place closed, last night I was wandering through the city when I found it by accident again.
Staff remembered me, had a great meal roast duck, roast pork and rice $15.
Always good, a staple around Sydney for foodies. Much prefer the new location. The beautiful juicy BBQ Duck and BBQ Pork are my recommended dishes.
First time going to bbq king and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I was impressed with the service for a chinese restaurant and it was clean and comfortable.
The Peking duck 2 ways was delicious and authentic, the XO pipis were tasty and generous and the crispy pork belly was the best I’ve had in sydney so far! It’s good value for medium to larger groups, and the alcohol is not overpriced. Will continue to visit whenever I feel like quality chinese bbq meats.
Nice bbq meat house! Absolutely good crispy crackling bbq pork and nice juicy tender duck meat!! The also also provide free soup with main meals.
This is one of my fav lunch places in the CBD, their bbq pork, crispy skin chicken, duck and salt and pepper squid is so salty and delicious. Great for a boozy lunch with the fellas.

Chinese delicacy at its best ❤️😍
Major love for their chasiu, roasted chicken & duck, and shredded beefs! Best eaten with white rice or their fried rice!!
Food comes around 15 minutes.
No fuss feed with great portions. I enjoyed their roast duck and some roast pork. They also provided a complementary basic bone broth which goes well with their meats. Their menu is perfect for sharing.
This is the place, your search is over. There’s so much angst when looking for a place to eat Peking Duck. Will they sell me a dry one? Will they keep all the meat for something else? Will it be crispy skinned or just dry? Having tried and been disappointed several times I decided to try this SYDNEY institution at its new location and now unlikely to go anywhere else. Apart from the friendly welcome and staff who know what they are about, you can just tell that the owners are around and care about everything that is going on. Everyone is at attention and service is efficient and warm if you are friendly and respectful yourself. But what about the duck?? Plump, freshly cooked, lacquered crackly skin is served in pancakes with delightful spring onion flowers wrapped in a small chilli. Staff serve everyone quickly and then return soon after with our chosen second course- San Choy Bau. Warm, lightly spiced and unctuous with water chestnuts and other crispy veg. Truly superior to many mediocre versions in Sydney. The suckling pig was expertly cooked but a little bony, perhaps just our portion? Salt and pepper tofu is another dish that shows the mastery in handling ingredients. Light as air and silky inside, crunchy and spiced with salt and pepper outside. Go, just go, you will not be disappointed
Suckling ninja
Best place for suckling pig and maybe roast duck! The serving here are large portion and worth the price. One of the few best BBQ place in Sydney CBD.
Make sure you get the suckling pig and roast duck for dinner ... Oh and a bowl of rice.
Went there for lunch with colleagues.
A bit over priced but they have some good options.Liked their peking duck and garlic prawns.
A bit less preferable if you have vegans/vegetarians in the group.

If you're missing the old BBQ King that used to be on Goulburn Street, fear no more, because their new store is a stones throw away over on Liverpool Street. It's much bigger too which is even better news! Of course they have their great BBQ favourites as well. We started with Beijing Roast Duck pancakes. In fact we had quite a few of them - they are just so moreish!
B.B.Q bonanza - 2 meats and no worries. We were enjoying a day in the park when we decided to head into the restaurant. The menu was presented clearly and the dishes were accurate to their description. The bbq pork in particular was salty and delicious. Great diorama display on the way out.
I love BBQ King... used to go there all the time but then it closed and moved - and it’s now a rare treat. I will say I liked the old place better: it had a sense of being only about the food... the new place does not have the same vibe. In saying this, the food is excellent and it an awesome late night dinner option! The crispy duck and pork are excellent!
Loves their new place. Very clean and spacious. The quality also increased a lot since they moved to this new place. Price is gone up, but quality stayed the same. Will visit more in the future.
Had quick lunch on Sunday 2.30pm. Ordered roast duck with bbq pork rice, around $17 with nice free soup (lotus pork rib soup) . The duck was awesome, just the bbq pork bit dry and normal ntg special. Price slightly higher compare others Asian food.
Good service from staff.
Best crispy skin duck in Sydney I'd say. Rest of the menu is good as well. Also, make sure you try the peking duck pancakes.
One things I have always found interesting is that staff always stand around and stare at you while you eat. Not sure if they are trying to be attentive and careful, or creepy...
So nice to be greeted by the maitre de of the restaurant as we entered. I loved the walkway of BBQ meats as you walk into the restaurant. We shared the BBQ crispy pork and mixed vegetables between two and it was more than enough food. The veggies came out piping hot and the jasmine tea steaming as we poured our cups. Very satisfied and will be back.
