Cool brunch and drinks spot located conveniently just off Kings Cross Station. The vibes are hip and very green, love the plants š± and the timber / wooden-oriented interiors. Great coffee, service and food - we had THE LOT (basically the big brekky), and it was a satisfying start to the morning!
A hidden gem in the middle of Darlinghurst, with a lovely rustic decor and lots of natural light. They smoke their own bacon on the premises, though I didn't get to try it since I don't eat pork. Incredible attention to detail with the food, all of which tasted wonderful and the presentation just gorgeous. It's been awhile since I was there so I don't remember the dish names, but a picture paints a thousand words, so here are some of the shots I took from my lunch there.
Service was slow but that was not an issue as the atmosphere is very pleasant on their outdoor terrace space. The avocado toast had an interesting honey flavour and was perfectly completed by a fresh OJ. Their corn fritters are very good as well!
I love this cute place. Itās super close to the Cross station, but tucked away in a quite street away from the grime. Itās a lovely old world charming venue, with a herbal garden that they use in the food and soulful French jazz playing softly in the background. The outdoor courtyard is just lovely to sit in. The service is great, with the owner personally serving the guests and offering expertise on each item on the menu. My coffee was smooth and lovely. My breakfast of corn fitters was great, with fluffy plentiful quantities of corn fritters. The relish was delicious and I would have liked more as they jazzed up the corn fritters. Likewise some move avocado would have been nice as they ran out long before the corn fritters did. But all in all, one of the most charming cafes in the Point. Definitely will be coming back and bringing friends.
Had an excellent experience at Silly Tart last night. The locally sourced ingredients were delicious - black sesame humous, amazing cheeses, rainbow trout...and the wine! Wow. Will definitely be back!
Itās a pretty corner place in Potts point. Really nice ambience. Every plate looks good. My table got scotch pancakes and smash avo and both were really tasty, good flavours...everyday breakfast. We sat in the garden (a bit cold but acceptable) waitresses are friendly.
Why did I stop loving brunches again?! This place is amazing- lovely ambiance and friendly staff- but what's even more amazing is what they serve on the plate. Delicious (and generous) food that are plated marvelously; with the colours bursting out of the plate as well as its flavours bursting in your motuh. Will definitely go back again to try more of what they offer- and of course try their breakfast martini!!! š

āWhat we want is to create a Kellett Street dining strip,ā says Nina Purton, the bubbly owner of The Silly Tart Kitchen. As former resident of the suburb, Iām of course reminded of the eighties and nineties, when (prior to Premier Mike Baird) the suburbās bars and restaurants were thriving. Purton believes itās high time that we relearn how to do more than just go out to dinner. In attempt to restore our bar hopping, live music culture she has come to the party by opening up from 5pm-9pm Wednesday to Friday evenings, with occasional live music and a well-priced supper menu. In this fairy-lit secret garden setting youāll find rustic, homely, unsophisticated but charming food.If you are going out for dinner later, tiny bites like Asparagus Spears ($2/each), wrapped in bacon they make on premises, will give your stomach something to work on without filling you up.Ditto a pretty plate of Highlands Cheddar ($5) accompanied by crisp green apple, raw honey and black pepper. The cheese is a good foil to...

Corn fitters & pata were delicious šš½
Highly recommend for small groups..
Great place for brunch. Staff are lovely and provide great service. Atmosphere is quirky and fun, but not pretentious. Great outdoor area to site on a nice afternoon with friends. Only let down was the coffee, but more than made up for by food and staff. High recommend a visit
I celebrated my birthday here last night (private function), I was very impressed with the food, friendly service and atmosphere! Such a lovely place and variety of food and drinks, they took care of the special dietary requirements very well too. Highly recommend!
Absolutely loved this place! We hosted a bottomless brunch for a hen-do and all the staff were so accommodating of our party. We were able to set up a camera stand, decorate our table and everyone enjoyed their food. Such a great deal for the bottomless drinks!
The best Bloody Maryās around! Would highly recommend the chefs āfeed meā selection. Incredible mixture of foods. The staff were exceptional, if we didnāt have to fly home we would come back every weekend! Thanks so much for a fab brunch ā¤ļø
This charming cafe is a winner and I highly recommend it for your next catch up.
The food is delicious, filling and well priced. I suggest trying their daily specials. If you have any dietary requirements, the staff are more than happy to oblige. They serve Reuben Hill coffee which is surprisingly good.
The cafe has got plenty of seating areas indoor and outdoors. The covered courtyard is my favourite spot as it's light-filled and airy and has a lovely hanging garden. If you come on a Thursday, you'll get the added bonus of a live musician.
Special mention to the staff. They're very friendly, hospitable and ensure I have a very enjoyable visit every time.
I reserved the garden area for my birthday celebrations and there was an abundance of amazing food and refreshing cocktailsā¦ so much so I had to encourage my friends to keep eating and drinkingā¦ we still had to take some of it home as was too good to waste. Friendly service and accomodating.
Amazing food and service!
I visited Silly Tart kitchen in early March 2022 and had THE BEST Avocado Toast I have EVER had. Genuinely, the food was incredible! Can strongly recommend this place for breakfast and lunch! Also the Welsh lady who was running the front of house was lovely! Great banter and an all round great experience!
This was a great little place to sit with an exqusitive antique aesthetic and charming courtyard. There's room inside and out and a musician comes in to play live music each Thursday. The buttermilk fried chicken was beautiful cooked and crunchy, and the slaw was tangy and delicious. The coffee was also better than average. Would certainly come back again.
I found the Silly Tart Kitchen on Google after our mornings plans had been cancelled due to the weather. We were stoked with the service, abundance of delicious food and beverages. We had a wonderful time and quickly forgot where we had intended on spending our day. We will definitely be back! Thank you!
