DZO grill and bar in Darlinghurst has been around for a number of years, formerly as upmarket Vietnamese restaurant La Mint. DZO now focuses on providing hungry diners with a place where they can score some Vietnamese comfort food in a more casual setting. Their new look and new menu is focused on tasty street vendor inspired food which Vietnam is famous for.
The entire place has been completely refurbished, keeping things simple with a street style hawker menu to share, while retaining that rich culture and tradition of housemate sauces, experiential dining couched in service that will keep you warm this Winter.
It was my first visit to DZÔ Grill + Bar and I was beyond impressed.
Previously known as La Mint Restaurant that opened around 15 years ago in the same location, DZÔ Grill + Bar has just been renovated and is now open to bring exciting Vietnamese street food, beer, cocktails and more!
The venue has modern and elegant decor with relaxing ambience. Their full bar definitely caught my attention upon entering the restaurant.
Love the Vietnamese writing and life quotes on the interior.
I started the meal with a strong and amazing Vietnamese dripping Iced Coffee.
Every dish that I tried was absolutely brilliant!
Grilled house pork sausage with vermicelli salad: Sausage was cooked to perfection and the vermicelli salad was fresh and delightful.
Crispy Vietnamese Pancake: love this dish! It’s delicate and simply beautiful.
Caramel pork belly with burnt rice and homemade hot chilli: such a brilliant dish! The pork was so tender and full of wonderful flavours. The burnt rice complemented the dish perfectly and that hot chilli, I wanna bottle it and bring it home!
Highly recommend!
