I ordered Mongolian beef and some steamed vegetables. I wanted something simple. OMG! That was delicious!
The beef was moist and tender, not over chilli.

A taste of shanghai. This restaurant offers nice Shanghai style cuisine. If you're crazy about Xiaolongbao or Pork bun, it is the right place to go.

[Sliced Pork Shank in Garlic Sauce] $9.8
A cold dish like entree. Pork is sliced into very thin cuts. Very price worthy.

[Shanghai Pork Chop With roasted Scallions noodle soup] $12.8
Very traditional and famous Shanghai dish. I do like it. Ideal for lunch.

[Vegetarian Casserole] $18.8
A little bit expensive. The vegetables tastes oily.

They also make green dumpling in April, which is a seasonal traditional snack in China.

Food is absolutely delicious and service is fast. I’d recommend the braised pork with quail eggs and the salt and pepper tofu. One thing I will note is that staff only spoke in mandarin to us even though most of us were English speaking. It made it a little awkward and difficult to communicate.

Really good shanghai restaurant with value prices and large portions. Service is fast (waiters are mostly chinese but can converse in basic english) with dumplings made and steamed fresh - kitchen can be seen from seating area. Beef fried noodles and mongolian beef were also great. Restaurant is located underground in world square

Nathan Gar Ming Chong

A great place for Chinese casual dining. Although the cuisine is limited to its famous dumplings, it is a gateway to Shanghai style dishes.

If you want to try the best dumplings, this is the restaurant to begin with. A fast and reliable dining experience!

I recommend ordering the steamed pork dumplings, pan fried dumplings and wonton dumplings! Don’t forget order some stir fry vegetables/noodles!

Staff are very polite. Best xiao long Bao I’ve ever tried, very juicy. Cheap food in Sydney. Didn’t have to wait for food. Staff constantly refilled water for us

Fantastic tasting food! The pork buns are a must try! Over flowing with sweet savory meat juices that leave you wanting for more! Quick and efficient service! Be sure to arrive early before the peak meal times!

Very wonderful customer service. Food is seriously really good their dumplings are delicious. I also recommend the wok fried beef really succulent. Had the phattest feed ever and reasonably priced will be coming again in the future.

Taste of Shanghai is probably my favourite place to get dumplings in the CBD. The xiaolongbao (SOUP DUMPLINGS) are so good here.

Some of the best Chinese food you can buy. Real quality taste, everything oozes of quality both visually and on your taste buds. We kept it simple with some vegetarian dumplings and pork and chives dumplings along with chicken fried rice with XO sauce. For the entree we got shallot onion pancake. Honestly, I could eat the rice and the dumplings all day long. The chilli in oil provided was high quality too. Just the right amount of heat while providing a lot of taste when mixed with soy. Staff were far and friendly and all were COVID-safe. Will definitely be back!
