Simple, delicious home style food.
The eggplant parmigiana was so tasty, even the ravenous carnivore didn’t miss the meat. The pasta is excellent; and the wine list is spot on as well.
A great neighbourhood gem
Enjoyed a midweek dinner here with a friend for a cosy catch up. How did I not know this place existed, and SO close to the station! Staff were really accommodating and easy.
Cosy, neighbourhood winebar vibe out front, and a back bar for more liquid-like catch ups. Rotating specials, but the ragu parpadelle is honestly something else.
What a gem of a place. Fantastic spot for a dimly lit nice dinner and drinks.
I started with the zucchini flower which was perfectly fried in a light batter and sprinkled with pecorino cheese. Oh my. I then had the pumpkin and pistachio ravioli in lemon butter sauce. I was worried it was going to be two small of a serving as often other restaurants give you 4 pieces, but this was a good serving size. The pasta was al dente and the flavours were delicate and beautiful.
I tried some of my friends Lamb Pappardelle and it was so flavoursome and rich, it might have actually been my favourite. Staff were friendly and pleasant.
A restaurant and bar in Redfern. It's always pretty busy so put your name down and wait out the back at the bar until your table is ready. The bar has some great cocktails, not your regular type. interesting ingredients and nicely presented. Our table was ready in about 40 minutes and we went to the restaurant. Food options are mostly Italian pastas with some schnitzels etc. I went for the orichette with garlic and chilli. This was ok. I'm not a huge fan of little prawns cut up inside, might be better with large ones. We shared brocolini and fries. Service was quick, very quick.
I've wanted to come here for a while having been attracted by the buzz and the atmosphere .
As it is always "first come , best dressed", I've often been turned away. I was not disappointed, we managed to get a window table (4 people) and the restaurant was pleasantly warm .
We ordered mushroom arancini which we tried with some of the homemade chilli oil . The flavours were incredible and we were all impressed. There were an array of options (all from continental Europe - mixture of Italian and Eastern European predominately) and specials for main , rave reviews for the lamb ragu, beef goulash and prawn pasta . We were all left full, with generous portions even the boys couldn't finish entirely . The Wine list was double sided and comprehensive. Would definitely come back and absolutely recommend it. Service was prompt and friendly , we were finished in an 1 hr 30 which was great for a Wednesday night .
Mmmmm, mmmm. Two in our party had the seafood linguini and one had the orecchiette and prawns. We also had 6 oysters to share with a nice bottle Spinifex rose from SA. $150 all up. Pretty dang tasty and stylish Italian. Well worth a visit.
Super busy on a Friday/Saturday night so be prepared to wait in the back bar for a bit.
Very decent menu with equally decent delivery (food was delicious with minimal faults) however service leaves a lot to be desired. Staff were surly and seemed completely uneducated regarding what was gluten free on the menu... Either that or they just didn't care.
Wasn't a big fan of the blanket 1.5% surcharge on credit card transactions either.
Overall, I'd return for the food but wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again.
The spaghetti meatballs here are out of this world - so, so tasty. Definitely the highlight for me. If you like spicy food, add the chilli! The sausages are good, too.
Popped on before event at Giant Dwarf with an empty stomach and 30 mins to spare. Walked out happy having had arancini, meatballs, zucchini flowers and crispy fries plus a couple of drinks. Would go back with more time for the rest of the menu!
Had a nice lunch here of eggplant involtini and fish of the day (battered flathead). The fish, served as a number of mini fillets with salad and tartare sauce, was light and soft. The involtini, rolled aubergine stuffed with ricotta, baked in a hot pot of tomato sauce, is a beautiful looking dish and tasty. The decor is a mix of the retro and the modern and they have an impressive bar more befitting of a saloon in a western. Quality.
Flawless!
Quite easily the best cooked and tastiest steak that I’ve had in Sydney to date!
Super friendly service and we loved sitting outside, watching the local wildlife pass by down Redfern street. Easy to spill into Gunther‘s dining room after for great drinks in such a cool speak easy bar
One of the best restaurants in Redfern, great food and an amazing local vibe
Awesome. Very impressed with a simple menu of great food done really well. Impeccable service all at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.
Hipster join, pretty cool and cozy. Expensive though, but pretty tasty food. So I guess it worth it 😆
The roast chicken was a little dry but, overall, a very enjoyable experience. Delightful staff, quick service and terrific atmosphere. Definitely worth visiting.
Great Food and wine selection, friendly helpful staff. Looking forward to heading back.
Visited this place in a recent trip up to Sydney. The food was absolutely delightful. We had the crab and prawn pasta. Flavors were excellent and pasta was perfectly cooked. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was also quite pleasant. Very reasonably priced for the quality being served up.
Had a fantastic dinner here, 3 courses with matching wine. What more can I say
