Good food with nice staffs ❤️ Recommend you guys to try “bun rieu”, “bun ca” and “com suon”. This is absolutely an Vietnamese Authentic restaurant 👌
Glad to have authentic Vietnamese food in Sydney city without having to go to Cabbramatta. When I'm craving for Vietnamese this is my go to. I love their Bun Rieu (crab meat noodle soup) which is one of their specialities. This time we also ordered the seafood laksa. Laksa is nice but their Vietnamese dishes are much better. Since this is in a food court, the price is so cheap. You can get a meal for two for average $30. Can't go wrong!
I had pho here and it was Fantastic. It was authentic, it had the aroma of authentic Pho. The portions are value for money and the dishes are reasonably priced. The service was not too flash, as I would have expected. But didn't bother me as it was late at night and I just wanted an authentic Pho meal.
I really like their grilled pork which is full of lemongrass flavour. It's the best I have so far in Sydney. I believe Pho is good as well according to a friend if mine.
Fresh veggies and noodle with good amount of meat for less than 12$ good lunch!
Recommend no. 33 & 35 for fresh and light lunch!
Fast serving and friendly staff
The first plastic spoonful is an instant surprise, it’s sweet, moreishly so, there’s no undertone of five spice or other flavours to challenge the palate. It’s a remarkably accessible soup. After a few mouthfuls, I wonder whether that sweetness and lack of spice might wear thin, but happily I can report the final mouthfuls are still very enjoyable. My special pho has several cuts of beef, sliced beef balls and tendon. The noodles are standard; thin and slinky rice strands.
The Sussex Centre food court is looking a little worse for wear just recently with three empty shops. Saigon Pho is going strong, even adding to their menu with a selection of "street food" including bun Rieu and a special northern pork soup. Their pho is clean light and on the sweet side that's easy to swallow.
A great alternative to Chinese food when you find yourself hungry in the Sussex Centre food court. My favourite dish is the crispy skin chicken vermicelli salad.
I only ever get 3 dishes from here but have had many repeats each: sugarcane prawns on vermicelli salad, caramelised pork with rice, & sliced beef pho. You don't get the huge variety of herbs & leaves as you do in the speciality pho restaurants, just bean sprouts with a bit of mint & lemon, but that's OK for a food court I guess. The pho is not sweet at all, which is why I like it.
They're friendly & the food's consistent, have been here for years while many neighbours have come & gone, so must be doing a few things right :) This is my favorite out of all the places in this food court.
Love this little food court place hidden in Chinatown. Always very busy during lunch time. Friendly staff. Food is consistently amazing. My go to dish must be the spring roll vermicelli salad!
A 10-minute walk from Central station. They have very good pho, meat was tender, and the crispy fried chicken was cooked well. I suggest going on a weekday for lunch or dinner, as it can get busy on weekend nights. Definitely one of my -go Vietnamese restaurants in Darling Square :)
Michelin guide should give Saigon Pho a Michelin star as they make tasty Vietnamese food and it's always consistent. A lot of the great Viet restaurants in Sydney city have disappeared but it's good to still have Saigon with us.
Pretty good little place for phó in the Sussex center food court. Tried their phó special. Taste good. Soup was hot and not too salty. Noodles were cooked right. Very strong of star anise and cinnamon taste. Clear broth. Will try other dishes next time.
Generally pretty good pho! However their rare beef was quite tough so I wouldn’t recommend getting that one.
worth for its price, a great cheap dinner in Chinatown
It was a good experience for me! I like vietnam food. I'm so happy to eat good buncha in sydney. Counter person is so nice. Friendly and let me know what I want to eat but not decide to order. Because special buncha is a little bit expansive for me. then she recommends me similar menu that more cheaper than other one. Haha so happy!
If you want to eat buncha, eating no.48. It was good for me.
Best Pho I had in Sydney. Broth quality was on point. Rice noodles texture was great,
And they hook you up with hella meat!
Surprised to find this delicious beef pho in a food court, comparing the highly recommended one, I actually prefer Saigon Pho special beef pho more. The ingredients used are very fresh n plentiful.
