I have been to this place twice and had great experience. The pizzas were great, taste nice and authentic. The staff members were friendly too. I would recommend this place for local gems and authentic Italian taste
Wonderful Italian restaurant! Although pretty tricky to find, it’s an absolute gem! Pizza is unbelievable! All produce is clearly fresh and cooked to perfection. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Loved everything about it. Bravi! Forza! 🇮🇹
Amazing!we had a grupon voucher but were treated like everyone else. we chose shared meat platter as a starter and Royal and San Daniele pizzas. Food was really tasty and ingredients fresh! plus the soccer atmosphere:) we loved it there and will be back for sure
This is our “go to” for delicious, affordable and authentic Italian. Not only is the food great, but the staff are friendly and the service is excellent. Highly recommend. Ambience is casual, and suitable for family or gatherings with friends.
Always love to start with a Negroni ($16) to help calm the nerves. Kid's Ham pizza with tomato, fior di latte (cow's milk, mozzarella style cheese), ham ($15) was good as well as the Ortolana pizza - seasonal vegetables, fior di latte, EVVO ($24). Be sure to get some of their chilli oil to add a great chilli kick. Kid's Ragu ($17) was very good and enjoyed by Miss 6 year old. Served with all the elements separated as ordered.
We had the Margherita, salsiccia e friarelli and calzone to takeaway. Wow. Really good Neapolitan style pizza, great char on the crust and really well seasoned. We often find we have to salt a pizza and here it was perfect. The sausage pizza in particular was excellent, sometimes these can be unbalanced but this one was perfect. We are looking forward to going back and trying the others. We love traditional Italian pizzas and have had pizza from most popular places in the inner city and think this one was better than via Napoli. Great work guys

We had the pleasure of attending the launch of Zona Azzurri new restaurant in Sydney. It’s located inside one of the most amazing sports store I have seen. The store is Ultra Football and is located at 160 Bourke St Alexandria. It has the amazing Zona Azzurri restaurant, an indoor soccer pitch, full football sports store merchandise, EA FIFA PS4 entertainment area, barber shop and cafe. The concept is one the best I have ever seen 🏆

Zona Azzurri is a new Italian restaurant located in Alexandria. Set up in a large space with high ceilings, the restaurant is next to a football clothing and merchandise shop called Ultra Football with the same owners and serves authentic Italian cuisine. We came here for dinner one night and will share our experience in this post. To start off with, we ordered some aperol spritz which was the perfect summer drink.
The food at Zona Azzuri is beautiful, authentic Italian food. Everything is fresh and delicious and they have a great range of seafood including beautiful muscles and crab! The wait staff are attentive and knowledgeable. They will advise you on specials and suggest wines that will compliment your meal. Thank you Zona Azzuri for a fantastic feast!

Seems like a stange place for a restaurant, for it is located adjoined to Ultra Football, a football store in Alexandria, next to the site of The Rocks Brewing Co. The name derives from the term for the seating behind a goal at a football stadium, so it probably makes more sense knowing that.
The restaurant has taken over the space that once was zona azzuri Curva remains Italian, with a contemporary Italian menu that draws inspiration from authentic Neapolitan traditions and modern influences.
Their woodfired oven is front and centre to cook up some delicious woodfired pizzas, meats and vegetables. There’s also breads, antipasti, salads, desserts and a kids menu too.
We try the vegetarian option, the Orto pizza with zucchini, eggplant, roast pumpkin, pecorino and a mighty lot of cheese. Nicely woodfired, it was a generous served pizza.
From the pasta list, the gnocchi Sorrentina or gnocchi with fresh tomato, mozzarella and parmesan was super tasty, baked in a small pot in the woodfired oven. For the mains, the wood fired prawns were excellent; a plate of the chargrilled seafood, flavoured with chilli, garlic, lemon and truss tomatoes, served with a side salad. We also order the “broccolini side”, woodfired. Although it wasn’t broccolini, just your regular broccoli. It tasted nice, but probably just change the menu listing.
There’s a wine list, cocktails and mocktails too, we enjoyed a red wine and non-alcoholic spritzer; made with Lyre’s dry aperitif, peach, lemongrass and ginger. The venue would accommodate larger groups and functions if necessary.
Staff were friendly and hospitable and service time was efficient.
We did think it was quite expensive, so we were lucky to have been able to use our dine and discover vouchers for a bit of a discount.
Food was AUTHENTIC Italian food! So tasty and proper portions! The food did not take long to come out at all and the service from all staff was excellent - Professional and so friendly! Will most definitely be coming back - We had such a great night, loved it! Thank you so much!

Wow this place is an amazing hidden gem. Beautiful modern space - great for families as it's spacious and easy to access. The pizza is fantastic - using Caputo Tipo 00 flour, the best there is, and a pizza oven from Italy. The service is phenomenal and professional, a refreshing change from the usual in Sydney these days. Family owned and run from Melbourne and originally Italy, they are friendly and welcoming. Will have to try the dessert pizza as well. Wednesdays unlimited pizza $20. Highly recommended.
Great little pizza place tucked hidden away behind a clothing store. We happened to stumble across the place and decided to pop in for a quick pizza. We had ghe margherita which was absolutely delicious, came out quickly and tasted very fresh and authentic. Would love to return to try more of the menu in the future :)
Stumbled upon this place by accident, hidden in the middle of nowhere in Alexandria. I only have one word to say about the pizzas here. It's the BEST. I've tried all the pizzas in eastern suburbs but this place just miles better than the rest. Gotta try it. Haven't tried pastas but would love to do that next time.
Fantastic Pizza. Traditional Italian. Great outdoor area which is suitable for kids as well, especially since Ultra Football is part of the complex. Highly recommended!
Italian food the best! The staff is outstanding super helpful and kind, the food delicious, is not far way from Mascot station, just 10 minutes walk, I'm going there all the time that I want eat pizza!
