Probably one of the best Balkan restaurants I have ever been to! Staff are so friendly and the food is 10/10! A must try if you are in the area. Being Croatian myself, I couldn't fault it at all!

Around the area, came here just after lunch.

Venue:
Corner of Commonwealth street, love the window seats!

Service:
Order at the counter, they bring the food and coffee to your table.
Service is friendly.

Food & Drink:
Piccolo and Baklava combo $ 8.30
Love the piccolo here!
Home made baklava was perfect dessert for me after lunch.
Crunchy layers pastry and sticky syrup glazed... oh so yummy!
Love it!

My favourite place for the best Burek in Sydney. The team here always make me feel like family and are so kind and friendly to e everyone. The burek is top shelf and although I nearly always get the meat variety, the cheese and the cheese n spinach are also amazing. Occasionally they do special Burek with bacon, potato, apple, etc....worth a try, always.

The best lunch i’ve had in a long time while living in Sydney for a month and a half now. I selected a few food options from the food warmer (some salads, the homemade flavorful rice, one roast chicken and one grilled). Also, the BEST Decaff Soy Mocha i’ve had, so good as I can’t have caffeine. Staff and i guess the managers were really lovely and hospitable, will definitely be back!

Fresh breakfast plate - something different. To the waiter, please write down the orders instead of trying to impress us by remembering everything, because you didn’t, you made 3 mistakes.

This place is awesome. Very true to the name. The Balkans were alive. The open kitchen is buzzing with activity and the coffee is spot on! I got so excited when I first walked past with an empty stomach for breakfast, that all I wanted was Ajvar on toast to feel like I was back home again. Sometimes it's the simplest of things that make you happy, right? 😊 I went back the next day and got the Tavche Gravche (beans). I'm home❤

Really great healthy food and tastes great especially the stuff with the things such as the goat cheese and the mixed grill plate. Not enough places like this in Sydney. Good portion size and value!

Amazing coffee, really friendly and attentive staff, and the menu is a unique selection of Balkan dishes. My favourite breakfast is the baked eggs with kolbasi (a Balkan sausage). It also comes with baked eggplant for vegetarians. This place is my new favourite local. Love it.

Great customer service and superb food! This place is such as welcome addition to the amazing gastronomic line-up in Surry Hills. I've tried several Eastern European and Burek places around Sydney, but I have to say this one is probably the best. The cheese and spinach burek was fresh and well balanced, a tad runny, but very generous with the filling. The kebapi with balkan salads, ajvar and sour dough was fantastic. It had a very distinct taste and you could really tell they were using quality meats. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I'll be back again, next time to try Palachinki crepes with candied orange.

Friendly staff, very nicely presented food and generous portions. Highlights of our lunch were the chicken schnitzel and the loaded fries (chips).
