The best place for fish and chips in Wollongong, my grilled barramundi was just awesome with addition of delicious lemon and herb sauce, never seen this one before. The place is busy, as I assume people know where to get their best food there, but the staff were smiling friendly and very efficient. Recommended 100%.
Headed down to LeVendi for approx 5pm on a lovely Saturday afternoon... a bit of a wait to order, which is to be expected... so worth the wait though... we got the pack for 2 (sorry I can;t remember what it was called)... but was filled with awesome seafood and chips... will definitely be back and will bring friends next time... staff were busy but friendly.
Ordered the barramundi pack - massive serving, probably enough for 2 ppl to share! Great value-for-money at $16. Nice crunchy batter with soft, moist fish. Delish! Great view too.
Very nice staff and delicious food. Chips were well salted, and both battered and grilled fish were cooked well. We came here on Good Friday there was a line out the door but we still received our food in a reasonable timeframe. A little pricey if you want to get fish and chips regularly but as a treat it is highly recommended.

This place has the best take away calamari and chips ! We love to stop here, grab some takeaway and then sit by the water. The shops it's self is pretty so there is a little bit of a wait.
Have not had a bad experience yet. The food is always great, with a variety offered. Only negative is sometimes the wait is quite long during peak time.
As a huge seafood lover, I was excited to try the seafood on offer at Le Vendi. The grilled barramundi was marinated in lemon and herb and tasted beautiful, the fish was grilled perfectly. The pumpkin and walnut salad was flavoursome and picked a punch! I definitely would recommend both and will be coming back here :). A great location for a quick beach meal.
I was just about to put some well deserved praise online for our favourite wollongong weekend destination ,when i saw EssaeEll comment! Everyone has freedom of speech but defamation is serious stuff. Defamation occurs when a untrue statement is made that tends to diminish someones reputation and may be subject to hatred or ridicule through slander and can have serious legal consequences! My family and myself have been loyal happy customers for many years . I can in fact tell you that there is no truth in your accusations . The fish cocktails are cut and made on premises from New zealand Hoki and lightly battered and are a very generous portion. The calamari hood is cut and lightly crumbed and are delicious . The burgers are too die for and the staff are always helpful, considering they are always busy . Yes people are coming back for real fish and the calamari cause they know real food when they taste it!
Just moved down to Wollongong from NZ and took my visiting family there for lunch at first i thought it was just another kiosk at the beach. My Jesus was i wrong we ended up having lunch there, coffee and gelato we didn't even move from the spot for a whole day. Visiting family was impressed, view was spectacular and food was amazing! Strongly recommend Levendi! This is what NZ needs back home a kiosk with the works!
Perfect!. Living in sydney eastern suburbs, there are a vast array of Fish and Chips establishments around. Happen to come across Levendi for a first time to a visit to Wollongong. We enjoyed a variety of Grilled and battered seafood and might i say, BEST YET. Even Sydney cant do it right. Fish was perfect, not oily/greasy at all. HIghly Recommended for quality takeaway fish and chips... and did i forget to mention, Great Value! I will be back to try out your burgers!

We are open to feedback and do take the time to please as many people as we can.
We are aware of your of this incident, to the extent that we have already documented an incident report from staff and alternate customers.
Unfortunately seagulls are not our responsibility for taking food or sausages in your case. Demanding and having the audacity to abuse our staff for a refund is beyond fair, especially when this is clearly NOT our fault.
Being on these premises and PUBLIC AREAS, many of our customers are aware of the wild life around them. It is common sense that seagulls at the beach are a nuisance and to leave food unattended or in free air, is ludicrous.
Additionally, we clearly state on every receipt/docket AND inside our shop to be aware of seagulls and NOT to feed them. We have witnessed homemade picnic lunches, Mcdonalds, KFC, subway etc swooped by the gulls every day and they don't discriminate.
PLEASE NOTE: Nobody can control the forces of nature.
We have a lot of respect for my employees and their behaviour. They are all aware of our customer service policy and definitely know not to be intentionally rude to our consumers.
In fact, I spoke with with my distressed staff member and reviewed the current footage because they were on the verge of calling the police about your abrupt behaviour.
We're not begging for you to come back, we just wish you stated the truth rather than bad mouth absurd remarks that are out of our hands.
As for your QUOTE: "Abysmal hygiene standards" we have always passed the departments standards and have a great record of it... so adding fuel to the fire within your review is just plain nasty and not very fair.
Once again we are sorry to hear about your unfortunate incident. People really need to avoid feeding them as they are a nuisance.

Second time I've eaten here. Food is so fresh and tasty. I'm not a Wollongong local, but I'll be sure to be coming past for a Souvlaki each time I come through town!
Generous portions. Meal set was definitely worth it. The restaurant overlooked the harbour, while the birds overlooked my food.
The BEST crumbed calamari I think I've ever had! The calamari was tender and not at all chewy. The hake fish was lightly battered... I mean lightly. And was also crispy, not soggy at all from being deep fried. My daughter also got a fruit salad which she loved... had blueberries and strawberries plus watermelon and other fruit. It's a popular place but we managed to get a seat outside in the sun.
Great location with nice views. Very popular. Food portion was great, as was the quality with their fried fish and chips. We felt very satisfied. Though they were very busy it didn't take too long with the food.
