Service amazing
Food amazing despite the risotto was a little too salty but I told the waitress to just let the kitchen know but still amazing, chips was amazing.
White sangria and furphy beer amazing and cheap too
Great service and very efficient staff , lovely friendly atmosphere with a good variety of selection on your menu
Friday lunch with colleagues and this is our first time here. Ordered a mix of everything from Argentinian Pinot Noir to raspberry wheat beer from Germany. Hanger Steak is delicious so does the fried white bait. The beef schnitzel with potato salad portion is big, meat is thin yet crunchy. Will be back Tuesday to try their $20 steak and pot specials.
We stopped in here for some pre dinner drinks, and were impressed by this funky and friendly pub on a busy and bustling street. We chose to sit out the back in the beer garden which is a lovely spot. Lots of greenery, cool wall art and comfortable stools and tables. Indoors looks equally as comfortable with lots of space and a lovely decor.
We were served our drinks promptly and the staff were really nice. The whole place had a great buzz, with lots of people in for post work drinks. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and felt at home here. The drink selection was great, and the food menu looks equally as good, although we didn't dine on this occasion. We will be back again to The Aviary as we really enjoyed ourselves here.
Stop by for a great quiz night and eat some delicious food! We went on $20 vegan night (any vegan dish and house wine or goat beer) only $20! The Eggplant Steak was fantastic and because it was a cold winters night the plum crumble was absolutely a winner!!!

There is so much to like about this funky place that has outdoor seating, indoor seating and a nice beer garden. Happy hour Monday to Friday 4-8 with $7 pints and $14 jugs - goat beer. $7 basic spirits $5 house wine. $10 aperol spritz
Monday $10 burgers and Tuesday $25 steaks. Wednesday $15 parmas. Bottomless brunch Sunday’s.
Kids welcome as there is a nice area out the back.
Really liked the artwork sprinkled throughout the place. Clever and very interesting.
Remember this is a bar / restaurant so it can be noisy. The nights I’ve visited there have always been lots of people coming after work socialising.
Bar staff are lovely. Very friendly and really know how to mix a good drink.
Food isn’t too bad either. Overall a great Melbourne social and dining experience.
Wheelchair and disability friendly. Parking - well it’s Victoria Street - do your best as it can be challenging.
2nd time here while in Melbourne for the week, awesome time spent here. Lovely food, ate the meatballs which was really yum but wasn't the "large dish" that it said it was. Chips were made beautiful with the sauce that comes with them and as always the drinks were great.

Food-wise, Pallavi ordered a serving of KFC (Kerala Fried Chicken), and she absolutely loved it! The chicken batter was crispy and flavoursome, yet it wasn't oily and heavy like the original KFC chicken. Interestingly, despite the name, there were no distinguishable Keralan flavours to the chicken or the batter. Perhaps the dish gets its name from the real standout: the two little chilli sauces on the side labelled 'Trinidad' and 'Ghost'. Spreading these on the chicken really gave them that punch of flavour and spice (beware – you'll need a glass of water nearby)! Trinidad was definitely the winner here. That spicy mango on the crispy chicken was impossible to stop eating. I ordered a basic Aviary cheeseburger which was just that: basic. It was nothing special, just the average cheeseburger with ketchup and mustard that you'd expect from a pub. The patty was cooked nicely and the sauces melded together well with the cheese and it most importantly satisfied my hunger perfectly.
A great pub that offers a cosy indoor seating area and a cool laid back outdoor beer garden.
Stopped past here on a Saturday night and had a couple pre drinks before heading out for dinner around the corner. The bar is impressive, wine list was great and staff very friendly,
I would like to come back for dinner as the menu looks very good and have read a lot of positive reviews.
My Fiancée and I had our Engagement party at The Aviary on Saturday night.
First and foremost, thanks must go to Laura, Bruce and Cate for all their organizing.
The room was set up perfectly, it looked beautiful, the bar staff were so inviting and friendly and made sure the night went without a hitch.
We could not have asked for a more perfect evening, and we couldn't have done it without you. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Likes: Delicious and affordable burgers, mushroom and Parmesan croquettes, great service
Dislike: more like a bar than a restaurant, super loud music, beetroot falafels were dry
What a fantastic pub feed! Best steak sanga hands down. So tender, so rare (medium). 💯💯💯
Classic pub, but with lots of Vegetarian options which I can always appreciate. Some good deals depending on which day of the week you’re going. Easy to get a table.
Called in for a drink. The table service was excellent, and the beers cold which is all I needed lol.

This is the place to eat in Abbotsford. I've eaten here a few times and the food is amazingly, always fresh and full of flavour! Quite reasonably priced, and the $10 bloody Mary's on a Sunday are the perfect way to end the week.
Great food! Menu is one of traditional pub food but with a touch of class and some unexpected amazing dishes - excellent staff, friendly and helpful. It can be a bit noisy. Lots of events and plenty of happy hour specials
Wine list is very good.
A great place for that end of day meal with the family or friends.
I love this pub, beer garden area is dog friendly and fully covered from the elements with plenty of heaters. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, super cosy space. A few vego and vegan options (that aren't falafel or quinoa salad for a change!!), good range of beers on tap and smoking area out the front has comfy seats and roof cover.
Great food and cocktails. Friendly staff and manager.

The aviary always has such bright and friendly staff that make you feel welcomed from first drink to last. They have amazing quality of food that makes you want to come back again and again and i do
Came here to watch Super Bowl LIV where they did a deal - $30 includes a pint of pale ale and either a burger or parma. Wasn’t that crowded to be honest but I actually preferred it that way and wanted to enjoy the football game without the rowdy noise. Loved the decor of the place and found a perfect corner with chesterfield club chairs for a comfy watch.
Coffee was excellent but I was shocked how good my chicken Parma was; it could be the best Parma I’ve had in Melbourne. Perfect portion size, the topping had perfect balance, chicken was moist and juicy, the side chips again was well balanced and the salad was basic but well seasoned. Would happily come back just for the Parma. The staff were very hospitable and friendly, shout-out to the hard working ladies.
Overall a great experience and will be back for the Parma! Found my place to watch the super bowl...
