$3 sushi train plates, can't go wrong. A little too many dishes with kewpie but that's a personal preference. Offered to order any dishes we'd like, can't fault the service
Usually come here for a quick feed and the sushi is pretty nice, but no wow factor. For $3 a plate, you can choose from any sushi on the train but the pieces are usually quite small so be wise and go for bigger pieces so that it's worth your money.
Downside is the udon. It tasted like soap or detergent which was very unpleasant to eat, although the tempura prawns were nice.
Personally, this place is only nice if you want some fancy sushi but otherwise, save those $3 for a proper sushi roll!
I absolutely love this restaurant. We went here about 3 times over the 2 week period we were in Adelaide, produce was really fresh and great value! Many of the dishes can also be prepared fresh if requested.
Fav SUSHI train. All plates are $3, that the highlight, the quality is actually pretty good if you get there at teh right time (11:45ish or 1:30ish) if you go then , you are destined to a wider range and a greater quality. although all plater are $3 it doesnt mean they dont sell high quality plates for $3 and if you dont see your favourite plate why dont you just request one! EASY very good experience, great staff, definatly try it out!
...the sushi train laden, but all plates were $3! Everything was fresh and tasty (the hot dishes were still hot) and the train and tables were nice and clean. There was a good mix of favourite sushi combinations and fusion offerings, like the sun-dried tomato and cucumber inside out roll, which was tangy and tasty.
Our first time here and it was great! Probably the best ramen place we’ve been so far here in Adelaide. It’s a but hard to find a parking spot near it because it’s in the heart of the city but definitely worth a visit. Very busy place so make sure you come early!
Okay but wow…. I think that this is the best ramen in Adelaide 🍜
The creaminess of the broth was the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted.
You could taste every flavour in every single dish! None of them missed!
We enjoyed:
- Prawn Toast 🍤
- Pork Gyoza 🥟
- Karaage Chicken 🐔
- Truffle Ramen 🍜
- Original Tonkotsu Ramen 🍜
11/10 for everything!
We really enjoyed this place and the Japanese vibes it was channeling! We can’t wait to go back w our fam 🤍 @minimono.noodlebar

Previously a cheap sushi shop, now a brightly lit ramen stopover. Karaage chicken was really good, flavoursm, juicy and tender. Agedashi tofu was also decent size and soft. Yummy with the soy sauce dressing. Lobster tail broth was really rich, not spicy, packed with flavour and umami. Goes really well with the fresh noodles which absorbs the soup as time passes. Eggs were cooked to perfection. Lobster Broth can get a little too rich after a while, as it has a hint of seafood flavour to it too, it was best to share. Lobster tail itself was just a tad bit tough to the texture. Tonkotsu pork broth was really delicious, subtle flavour, not salty, just nice. Beef ramen was also not bad. But I prefer the cha siu. Would say its more to the pricey side, but definitely one of the better ramens in Ade.
Dinner at @minimono.noodlebar from a couple of weeks ago: heard about this place and had to try it out! The queue was long, and I'm not sure if I would wait 45min again to be honest. The ramen was good but not the best in Adelaide, but the novelty ones like the lobster ramen, is definitely worth trying.
.
Lobster ramen: with lobster tail, naruto, crustacean oil. The broth was really bold with a very strong seafood taste. The noodles' texture was okay. The lobster tail itself was quite tasty though! Overall, I liked the ramen because it was novel 😜.
.
Tonkotsu ramen: this one was okay. The broth was very garlicky, which was good. But I've definitely had better tonkotsu broth. I think if you want traditional tonkotsu ramen, maybe have it elsewhere.
.
All the non ramen stuff: takoyaki, chicken karaage, agedashi tofu, gyoza, seaweed. Pretty standard stuff that are pretty tasty ☺️.
This was an overall nice experience. The ramen is on the more expensive side but was pretty good.
We ordered the lobster and truffle ramen which was nice for something different. We will have to return as it would be good to try the other styles.
The staff were very friendly and helpful making space for a pram. There was enough seating inside without feeling cramped.
I would recommend the truffle ramen in particular.
