Traditional and very good Persian food. Really loved the Qabuli Palao, Sekh and lamb skewers. All home-made!
I went to Persian House with my family for dinner and it was empty (which I expected given the current situation). We ordered the chicken curry, fesengan and cauliflower curry initially as our mains with rice and a Persian rice called Zarda Pallow.
The plain rice and the Persian rice were both cooked well and soft, and the Persian rice in particular was quite tasty.
The chicken curry and cauliflower curry were both tasty, although they could have been more spicy, especially since the chicken curry explicitly stated that there was chilli in the curry. However, given that my experience with Persian food generally hasn't been very spicy, I was able to accept that and still enjoy the curries.
The fesengan was fruity, from the pomegranate, and tangy, which was quite tasty. It tasted a lot like the authentic Persian curries I've had before, which was good.
For dessert, we order the ferni, which is a Persian pudding. It had a very nice sweetness from rose water and the texture was also quite interesting, although it took me a while to get used to, as I don't usually eat puddings.
Overall, the food was good and their service was also good. However, because we were the only customers, I was expecting them to bring our food and drinks a bit quicker.
Really nice save run by a lovely honest and hard working couple
Really attentive and friendly service in these tough times
The charcoal grilled anything meat is excellent
The hsp is ok
The wrapped kebabs are fresh succulent and flame grilled and Smokey
I recommend coming on your own as the service from the lady is attentive and really nice
The servings of the kormas and similar dishes should be bigger but are nice to eat with nice fluffy rice
Their coffee needs a big improve
