We were SO impressed with this place! Great service from all staff, the meals were brought out very quickly and every thing was delicious! Can highly recommend the teriyaki yakitori, yakitori hare, pork gyoza and the harabiki sausage! Loved the ambience too. And very reasonable prices.

We came to Shinwa without a booking and they were able to accomodate us. As soon as we walked in, we noticed the floor styled seating and the cute decor. Edamame was served to us immediately as we were seated. We ordered the spicy tuna crunchy roll, beef tataki, Japanese curry (not pictured) and pumpkin mochi. The mochi was definitely my favourite; chewy and served hot - also dairy free which was a bonus. As for the mains, we could have done without the beef tataki but everything else was delicious

Had the best okonomiyaki here - AND it was vegan, which is such a novel find. I also love their nasu dengaku and the veg croquettes. The space is traditional with floor seating (a bit hard to get into, but cute) and the staff are very friendly and attentive.
Japanese cuisine at it’s finest. Service, sake and super food. Especially the Japanese pancake (I had the one with pork) was unforgettable. Highly recommended
Had a dinner at Shinwa on last Wednesday night. The food was delicious and served quickly. Staff were friendly and enrgetic. The tall waitress recommended eggplant - it was made at the right level of grill. Oysters were high quality and huge. Worth the price. Will definitely visit again.
Delicious and fresh sashimi and sushi. We had the sashimi don, pork curry and salmon roll. Excellent food presentation and lovely staff and cool seating arrangement with the booths. They even provide complimentary edamame which was a nice touch
First time dine in this Japanese restaurant, The atmosphere are amazing, as well as the friendly staffs, just love it, and the food are absolutely wonderful. What I wanna say are:
1 Even with some negative feed, I still think it worth to dine in, as the food quality is upper level, compared with others
2 Friendly staffs, u must love them, these young Japanese girls, I can see their attitude throughout their eyes
3 Quality drinks, u gonna love it again

Absolutely love Shinwa. The grilled meat and the popcorn chicken are amazing. Do yourself a favour and try a few different things. I don't think their food would do well on delivery as I think it needs to be eaten fresh off the grill.

The food is good, big serving sizes compared to other Japanese restaurants. Definitely get what you pay for!
The only thing is the meats aren't great, majority of times I had the "grilled" meats they have been over cooked and tough.
One of the best Japanese restaurants I have been to. The food was so delicious and flavoursome. All staff were friendly and polite. Service was exceptional.
