Authentic italian food and great vibe!!! Went there for dinner last night and will definitely return. The homemade gnocchi with porcini mushroom were divine and so was the Red mullet with sicilian caponata, a must try. Lovely and attentive staff, thanks to Emilio for the lovely experience.
Came here on a Sunday night, the establishment was small and quaint with a bar area where you can dine.
My friend and I were greeted with the friendly wait and bar staff on arrival. We decided to try most of the specials which included an entree of prosciutto ham and imported mozzarella... it was probably the best and creamiest mozzarella I had had. The complimentary olives and bread were pretty on point too... so good start!
I ordered the special - wild boar and porccinni with parpadelle and my friend had the prawn risotto, we also added a side of brocollini (getting those greens in) and both dishes were delicious.
I wasn't fussed about dessert but was convinced by my friend to share, so we shared an Italian version of the Mille fiulle, delicate puff pastry with lemon curd and raspberry coulis.. what a great end! So all in all I really enjoyed the food and service, especially from our waiter - Mauro.
The restaurant is family run and the staff are really friendly, what's different is the sophistication in its dishes and the love and passion in the delivery.
Good job guys! I will definitely come again!
Ibla provided the ideal refuge from a wintery Melbourne night! The restaurant was warm & cosy, the staff were friendly & attentive and the food was top-notch! Dish of the night was the lamb ragu but honestly everything was perfect!! Ibla definitely be coming back for more!!
