Holy balls!!! Cannot recommend this place high enough.. the Philly cheese steak is no good if you're a lactose intolerant vegan.. for anyone other than that you'll be in meaty-cheese heaven... other than that you'll be having a cracking night drinking bourbon until your face melts.

The $10 cheeseburger and chips has got to be the best value in Fremantle on a Friday night!! Probably the best cheeseburger I’ve ever had!!! The thick cut pickles, thick, juicy beef patty and the melted cheese, so f$&king good!!! Thank you guys, you never disappoint with the food ��

The food, service, ambience, friendly staff and everything else about Bonsai makes it an absolutely fabulous place. Great for an evening out with friends. The set menus offer very good value for an up scale restaurant at around $50 to 60$
Almost everything we ordered was delicious. We were a group of 10 and had a very wide range of dishes on the table. Hush puppies were not that great unfortunately, but that is a minor criticism. Portion sizes are quite large so next time I'll need ordering more prudently. Alcohol prices are good and overall the place doesn't fail to impress.
Reasonable prices and great variety. The cocktail menu is long and varied and the buttered rum was amazing! Great option with a group of friends as the portions are perfect for sharing

Came here quite late on Friday and was surprised to find that they had live music playing! Has a very nice and cozy feel to the restaurant. Food was quite fast.
We ordered the Chicken Fried Steak, Mac and Cheese Balls and the Pork ribs, they were all excellent. The buttered greens were amazing and the home made BBQ sauce and slaw too. The mac and cheese balls were the best though. We tried the Hot Buttered Rum too and it was perfect for cold nights. Pork ribs were very tender and delicious and fell right off the bone. Though it was just a little too smokey for my liking.
The waitstaff were really nice and friendly too!
Overall, a great night and experience! Definitely coming back on Tuesday for Chicken and Waffle night
Edit: Came back for the chicken and waffle however it wasn't as good as we hoped it would be. The chicken was not very flavourful nor very crispy. The waffle was too soft and mushy as it has been drenched in syrup and piled under the wet buttered greens! The portions weren't as big as the other "small stuff" like the chicken fried steak (which is massive!)
You also had to get a drink with the deal (we later found out) as it was printed in very very small font at the bottom of the menu and we thought it was quite misleading. However, that gave us the opportunity to try the fresh apple and sour cherry featured drinks which were incredibly tasty. The fresh apple one was the better of the two. Very fresh, light and not very strong. The cherry sour was very yummy too (but we aren't super keen on whiskey - even then I'd say it was very good!)

First time trying this place was very impressed with the food American style with beautiful bold flavours!! I came here with my partner and ordered chicken and waffles, Mac and cheese croquettes, loaded fries, pear and walnut salad with blue cheese dressing and for dessert the smores all of the dishes were super tasty the highlight for me was the croquettes and the smores but loved the other dishes just as much :) it's a piece of heaven for guys as there are lots of delicious meat dishes and deep fried deliciousness but don't worry girls they have suitable stuff as well like the pear and walnut salad with the blue cheese sauce beautifully balanced all in all loved everything 😊
Casual relaxed bar with sunny alfresco seats tempted me to give this place a try. Service is at the bar and ordered the chicken and waffles, buttered greens and chilli maple dressing, and asked the bar tender for a recommendation of wine. He gave several suggestions and I went with his first, the Pinot Noir. He kindly gave me a sample to try first too, and it was a very good Pinot. My food didn’t take too long to come out. Chicken was succulent and the waffles were fluffy. They also gave me their house made BQ sauce which was a great accompaniment to the meal. Love the music they played and good place to people watch. Will definitely be back.
Very aptly named, this place blew me away with how good the food is. Somewhat pricey but worth it imo. Hands down the best pork ribs I've ever eaten. Unfortunately they don't take bookings so if it's busy, you're in for a wait. Huge range of booze on hand as well, with lots of local beers and spirits. Will definitely come back here multiple times.
I believe I'm Aussie by blood but American by heart and this place gets my American heart beating. They do American grub so well and it's really homely.
Bourbon and BBQ done right. $10 burgers on Fridays are the best in town. Fun little spot to hang out and enjoy the smokey goodness.
So what an awesome little place. Smoked Brisket was on point. Fries 🍟 where awesome and morish 😂 Burgers were great but the pulled Pork was over powered by the coleslaw e dressing. Bourbon 🥃 range was a killer in a good way. ☺ Drink list is great but not if your designated driver, maybe add a true Southern Sweet Tea. And staff were fantastic shout out to Ces. 🤗 Only annoying part was having to pay every time you went to order but understandable. Thank you for a great night.

Great experience all around. The chef knows his way around a smoker and turned out some really special dishes. Great value for what are time consuming meals that require a lot of prior preparation. Generous glasses of wine and friendly professional staff. Great little place with nice atmosphere to pop into for a small or large feed and a drink from their wide range served by a knowledgeable barman. Definitely a return job.

I don’t know why this place isn’t busier! The food is so good, great smoked meats, friendly staff, quick service and yummy cocktails. Absolutely recommend a visit.
