Having the window fully opened on a lovely balmy evening just added to the experience to accompany the tasty quality food and great service. Even better was that we were part of a large group that took up half of the restaurant that flowed without a hitch. My second time here and certainly will be back...keep up the great service and food!
Really wanted to try this place since I’ve lived around here for 15 years and I’ve never been! We enjoyed delicious classic Mediterranean dishes that tasted amazing. The staff were friendly, and happy to help you understand the menu. Really enjoyed the dishes which offered hearty meals.

A meal before a movie? Ambrosia is the place to go with good food and great service.
We had the meat platter for 2 which contained chorizo, 2 lamb cutlets, 2 lamb skewers, 2 chicken skewers, 1 quail. The meat was very juicy and not burnt. Could have done with a little more flavor but the lamb cutlets and quail where good.
Spaghetti Marinara was good but not the best as having 1 prawn, few peices of fish and 5 muscles to make it look like there was a lot of seafood was slightly pricey for that dish and more flavor would have make the dish amazing.
Best part was the tiramisu which i forgot photos cause once it hit the table forks where driving for it. It wasn't like your traditional tiramisu which I like.
Service and ambiance is excellent with perfect lighting and good spacing between the tables.
Overall its a nice family restaurant and food is fresh. Would go more often if the prices werent so high.
If you like fish you should try Ambrosia. Last night we had Fresh Hapuka, Fresh whole Garfish and a super Spag. marinara. They had another 3 fresh fish options to choose from as well. Great staff and very good service. Also loved the byo option. Will be back.
We always have a wonderful meal and time here . They always look after us and make sure we are happy . The banquet is the way to go, to make sure you sample all the best they have on offer !! Super yum and authentic flavours of the Mediterranean

Loved the look of this restaurant, the open windows were refreshing and the decor inside was very appealing. Service was great, but unfortunately was disappointed with the overall quality of the food.
Will start off, however, by saying that the dips platter was AMAZING. Loved the flavours, and would highly recommend for people like me who enjoy trying a bit of everything, was very impressed. Besides I love carbs, and pita bread is everything to me.
Unfortunately, the rest of the food didn't wow me in any way. Chorizo was quite delicious, however the calamari and fried cheese were both average according to my tastebuds. The meat was the real let down, the chicken skewers were beyond dry and tasted burnt, and the red meats didn't have much flavour.
If I come back, I'd definitely order a pasta or risotto, as other reviews have said great things about it!
Very friendly family restaurant/atmosphere. Enjoyed our lunch here. Lots of choices. Tasty entrées. Eggplant dip with pitta bread is nice and refreshing. Recommend the Lamb Shank Risotto and the Osso Buco was the highlight.
Restaurant that focuses on Mediterranean food, opposite the Rivoli cinemas. Great selection of food and all the dishes were cooked very well, I especially loved the char they got on the seafood and the lamb cutlets (not pictured). The special of the Moreton Bays bugs was superb, cooked perfect and a very generous serve. The service was also great, they even gave us an extra dish, when they made a mistake with our order. Definitely recommend and a good spot for dinner before a movie.
On a sunny day Ambrosia is attractive to go to because the windows are open and let's in all the sunshine. So I decided this would be a good place to catch up with friends and have a glass of wine. Despite looking like a pricey and posh restaurant their wine list www cheaper than the wine bar we went to earlier that day. The atmosphere was great. It's a really quiet place and would be good to see it become more popular.
I decided to have the ‘Spaghetti Seafood Marinara - prawn, scallops, mussels, calamari and fish fillets finished in a choice of white or red sauce ($28.50)’. I chose the white sauce option which was an olive oil and chilli based sauce. The abundance of divine seafood was perfectly cooked and was enhanced by the garlic and chilli in the sauce.
It's local and pretty good. I had the eggplant dish - full of flavours and very rich! Well cooked! Ambrosia is a nice change from all the mod Australian cafes in the area, but the service was slow! Maybe go after your movie date at the Rivoli!
Really well do e, classy and uncomplicated food. Staff are wonderful - fit us in for a beautiful Mother's Day dinner and we'll absolutely be back
Perfect place to enjoy an authentic Greek meal with friendly service, fresh ingredients and relaxed unpretentious atmosphere. We concentrated on starters with the whitebait a standout. Lovely evening. We'll be back.
Had my mum's 60th birthday in August. Very delicious food and friendly people. The chef came around and asked if we needed anything else. Definitely going back!
Looking for somewhere special, attentive and with exceptional food and wine. Ambrosia of Camberwell is definitely one to check out. Right opposite the Rivoli, easy parking in the carpark. Open windows gives an alfresco feel whilst still undercover, just perfect. The restaurant is family owned and run, the staff are knowledgeable and super friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Needing Gluten Free, no worries, very accommodating. Ambrosia is a family favourite and we try to visit as often as we can.
The food was beautiful with the service to match. Definitely recommend the shanks. A little pricey.
This is my most favourite place to go with my family for a special dinner. I have been multiple times over the last 5-6 years and I could never fault it. The food is so yummy!! The banquet is always a favourite. But not only is the food great and from the heart, the owners are what makes the whole experience outstanding. They are so welcoming and warm and you feel like you’re going to dinner at your oldest friend’s home.
Honestly, I love you guys. Thank you for being such beautiful humans and cooking such beautiful food.
P.S the tiramisu is OUT OF THIS WORLD good.
