My neighbour and I ordered takeaway pizzas from this place. I like we could choose between two sizes of pizza, usually a regular size is too much for me so we had a medium pizza with just mozzarella and prosciutto and a Capricciosa. Mine was pretty good, Capricciosa probably too salty for my taste.
This place is an absolute gem, the staff are the best I’ve experienced In Sydney and the food speaks for it self. Staff are extremely attentive and incredibly eager to do all they can to ensure they are delivering the best experience possible.
You can’t go wrong with the pasta or the pizza but the “must try” is the Tiramisu.

A classic and delicate flavour which will melt your palates. A generous portion of parmesan to come with. The place is nice and quiet, good for meeting and chilling out. Recommended!
Really happy with food and service here. Authentic Italian food in good vibe place. This restaurant is not narrow. We went there on Friday night and called them to book a table 30 mins earlier. Not crowded, relaxing music around.
Best Italian I've had (yes I've been to Italy and yes I've eaten at hatted restaurants).
The stand out dishes such as gnocchi Gorgonzola, chicken boscaiola and the lamb with brandy cream sauce are beyond refute and the pan a cotta and tiramisu is amazing. Joe is such a nice guy.
I've eaten here for years, had my engagement party here and if my wedding venue allowed it he'd be cooking for my wedding as well.
Really enjoyed the food here. Wasn't expecting much when we arrived as there wasn't much atmosphere but the gnocchi Gorgonzola pasta was delicious as was the pizza. Authentic Italian food.

A friend of mine recommended the blue swimmer crab pasta with Napoleon sauce. I wasn't really a big fan of tomato based pasta so I wasn't expecting much but I was blown away! The pasta was so delicious and the portion was generous. Nice waiters and waitresses too.
My favourite local restaurant. Staff are friendly. Food is great.

Incredible pizza. The staff accommodated us as a Saturday night walk in & still kept in mind all the COVID rules for spacing etc.

Lovely environment and lovely food. I tried special pizza, gnocchi and fried fish. They very good good and i loved it.
Really nice food. I was there on a busy Friday night before a Sydney FC game and the service was a little stretched, but overall, very friendly and prompt enough.
Food was great; on par with other high quality Italian restaurants in the area, including Norton Street. Tempted to make it my new local, BYO, and good value. If you frequent other Italian restaurants in Leichhardt or Haberfield, give Castelmola a try!

Popped in to Castelmola after I was recommended by a friend. It was well worth the visit. The fresh pizzas and pastas were cooked to perfection and full of flavour.
Staff were friendly and accommodating to any requests I had. Professional barista coffee.
Would highly recommend if you are looking for an authentic Italian cuisine.
We've lived around the corner from this Italian restaurant for a while now, and we always get food here. Never had a problem, and they have lowered a few of their prices during COVID, which is both good marketing and thoughtful. My go to pizza place. Full props to you guys. Would recommend.
