Delicado never lets us down. We have been back many times and each time we are rewarded with great food, great wine and great service. I do recommend a table outside!
This is our “go-to” when in Sydney. The food, service and selection of wine is exceptional and on the warmer nights, love sitting outside. If you’re a visitor to Sydney, put a visit on your list of eateries. Our favourites are the Sicilian green olives and their extensive selection of cold meats.
We started to have the Bacon & egg bun combo (inc coffee) take away during lockdown, and they are so nice, we now come back for it whenever we have a lunch break from busy WFH schedule. Service is great, nice ambience too.
It's my first time to eat Spanish food. I feel very strange. Next time, I will take my friends with me.
We sat outside on a lovely spring day, enjoyed a glass of wine and antipasto platter. This really is a lovely spot to sit, eat, drink and be merry. Food is good and the wine list is interesting.
The toilets have a classy Trump-esque treatment. 😆 it’s funny.
We ate at Delicados tonight after a long break and feeling nostalgic for Spanish food after a recent trip to Europe.. There is a new menu and the servings are very generous - and in the case of the plate of green veggies over generous. It was huge. Enough for 4 people at least and there were two of us. Perhaps they could offer it in two sizes. The food was very fresh and tasty. The cod cakes and meatballs were delicious so no complaints about the food. Unfortunately the ambience was somewhat spoiled by a TV broadcasting Sky News. A compulsory side dish of far right wing propaganda that we could have done without. Why would a restaurant with any pretensions to class do this? Why have a TV at all?
Very good Spanish tapas restaurant with a varied menu of tapas and large plate dishes with friendly service and an extensive wine list. I really liked the grilled chorizo, jamon ham platter and the eye fillet with bernaise sauce. Reasonably priced as well.
Nice Spanish restaurant with cute outdoor sitting space...its little busy on weekends...so, it's better to book a table before u go there... Food is good too ... we tried "angry potatoes " and " fish of the day" crispy salmon with mashed potatoes it was 👍... I tried Spanish food for the first time, and I am not disappointed at all. I would like to explore more. Personally I felt wine wasn't that great but house brewed beer was good... should definitely try that.
Service was good, plenty of dishes to choose from, great location, the only fault was each tapas dish we got was a little bland. That said the 'spicy pork crackling' was more like pork crackling from a bag, had no spice at all unfortunately.
The mushroom croquettes were tasty so I recommend them to anyone.
Three of us shared a bottle of Spanish Tempranillo with a selection of tapas. Wonderful food, prompt service. The Crispy Squid was my favourite.
We shall be back again soon!
Today Sydney turned on a spectacular sunny day and despite the chill-factor, the siren call of alfresco dining was too loud to ignore. A couple of Grants and I lunched at Delicado, a gorgeous little tapas place on Blues Point Road, McMahons Point. The Grants had been here many times before, but I hadn’t, and as per usual with any new place, I was rather excited! Delicado instantly earned bonus points when I unlocked their newbie deal on Foursqaure and scored us free sangria.
We were surprised at how good Delicado's food was. My favourite item was the pork belly skewer from the specials menu. The thick slice of belly had a decent meat-to-fat ratio and was coated in a sticky sweet sauce. So more-ish. We also enjoyed the tender calamari, the Seville prawns with toast to mop up the tomato based sauce, the smoky chorizo and the Spanish omelette with its layers of thinly sliced potatoes. The underseasoned seafood pasta and seasonal vegetables paled in comparison. With room for dessert, we ordered the pear and ricotta cake (a generous filling of sweet ricotta sandwiched between two layers of a torte), the orange tart (which was more like a cake or torte) and the churros (but of course). No complaints about any of the three cakes, they were a fitting end to the meal. Service was friendly and helpful (the waitress was impressed at the amount of food we could fit in hah). As we were leaving, a staff member (owner?) started dancing with a customer which just shows how warm they are. Definitely a local gem.
