I'm a huge fan of Koko Black's delectable chocolates, so I made sure to grab some before the lockdown just in time for Easter. They had an amazing display of Easter eggs, and I couldn't resist buying a few to take home. Hubby nabbed a huge dark chocolate and cashew egg, whilst I grabbed a cute tin of chocolate bunnies and crispy eggs.
My favourite thing about this particular store is the cute aqua coffee cart out the front of the store. Such a great idea for grabbing a takeaway, and of course their coffee is excellent too. Both the staff inside and out were lovely and friendly, and it's enough to keep me returning to Koko Black for the finest quality chocolates.

Koko black now smartly built an outdoor drink cart - very attractive to those shopping in the area and in need of a drink! The mocha I had was okay - there wasn’t a strong dosage of chocolate which usually makes the drink extra delicious. Caffeine was sufficient to wake me up and quite standard.
The star of the show was the iced chocolate! it came with salted caramel ice cream and was just so good on a hot summer day! I kept sneaking sips off my friend’s drink cos it was just delicious - especially the salted caramel ice cream! The dessert drink is priced at a hefty $9, but worth it!
I didn't feel like a full hot chocolate but felt like having some chocolate so the kids hot chocolate was a good idea at this visit. It was a cute little cup and had some chocolate art on top. The hot chocolate was very creamy and wasn't as sweet. Just what I felt like!
I had the lucky opportunity to experience Koko Black’s latest collaboration with Dan Hunter, and what a treat it was! We tried the Chocolate Bomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, and the Praline Tasting Plate. Of the three, my favourite has to be the Ice Cream Sandwich - I loved the salty and sweet flavours, and the crumbly biscuit paired with the cool and creamy ice cream. The Chocolate Bomb was very light, like marshmallow, although I wasn’t the biggest fan of the roasted wattle seed flavour. The Praline Tasting Plate came in an assortment of three - I loved both the Strawberry Gum ganache and Salted macadamia caramel the most.
Tried the Koko Black x Dan Hunter Range with the 3 different desserts and quite enjoyed it. My fav was definitely the ice cream sandwich because the cold helped to cut through some of the sweetness. I didn’t enjoy the chocolate bomb as much as it was very very sweet.’the belgian hot choc was really rich and warmed me up!

As a big fan of dark chocolate, Koko Black is a great place to get my chocolate desserts.
Wonderful place to buy chocolate gifts. Price is at the higher end but I love the varieties they have.
Their iced chocolate is to die for. I got addicted to it ever since I first drank it. Though the last time I came, their iced chocolate was far too milky and lack of the chocolate flavour I remember, they probably add too much milk to it.
Would love to come back here again soon.
A decadent hot chocolate that for me, rivals Godiva. Always busy by day with meetings of business people at the top end of town and the odd tourist that wanders in.
Love a pretty cake with a lot of different textures and layers. I forgot what cake this was, but it was pretty yummy, and a bit too sweet. I like their hot chocolate here - very creamy and chocolately.
Friendly staff, hot chocolate was nice $7. Had the Belgium cup, sat inside, good atmosphere. Recommend as a place to catch up with a couple of friends for a goss season!

This morning’s strong almond milk latte was bought in Koko black. My timing is perfect, as it was Valentine’s day they had some divine caramel heart filled chocolates to sample whilst you waited.
The coffee was nice and strong the almond milk slightly sweet and it all went very well with my Valentine’s Day chocolate.
Koko Black is always one of my favourite places to go for hot chocolate. The one on the Royal Arcade is always pack. It's really hard to get a table. I decided to catch a tram to the Koko Black on the Paris end of Collins St. This one has less people.
I ordered the traditional Belgium Hot Chocolate and the Caramel Delice. The hot chocolate is great and the caramel delice is good. It's caramel, so expect it to be sweet. After I finished both of them, I honestly sweet out. Hahaha 🤣
FANCY CHOCOLATES AND A GOOD PLACE FOR A BITE AND HOT CHOCOLATE :)
Located opposite Collins Place, Koko Black maintains the "luxury" feel of this end of Collins Street.
Good range of chocolates, cakes and small pastries. Decent coffees and of course, hot chocolate.
For people with mobility issues there is a small step up at entry but otherwise fully flat and ample room to negotiate a wheelchair or frame .
Best hot chocolates in town. Although the cakes and dessert options are wonderful, I prefer to choose a couple of chocolates to have with a hot chocolate. The boxed chocolates make luxurious gifts.
Coming straight from Switzerland and very close from both France and Belgium, I really had high expectations when I came to visit and try Koko Black in Australia as I've been told that the brand was well known for its excellent chocolate. Well I surely haven't been disappointed ! The service was very good, the place is lovely and the chocolates are simply amazing ! I loved it !
Had the Chocolate and Salted Caramel Tart and the Black Forest Cake. The black forest was more mousse than anything, hardly any sponge but it was still good. We also had a Hot Chocolate and a Espresso and Caramel Frappe. I would’ve preferred the espresso and caramel frappe without as much ice as it was hard to drink but it was still good.
Top notch experience. I went in about 15 mins early for my catch up. The guys were so lovely, talked to me about what drink to have, got me water, no hassles about the fact that I won't order for another 15-20 mins and even give me taster chocolate. Fantastic. I definitely will come back.
