The food was very nice and tasty. Variety of food was very good. Desserts were great too.
Nice setting, decor looking a bit tired, however clean and relaxing atmosphere. It’s a tad expensive so go with an empty stomach. Staff were friendly enough, however a little bit slow on clearing the table. Definitely worth a visit.
We dined there yesterday evening as it was our wedding anniversary, we have dined there many times before, it's our favourite restaurant, the food is always fresh and tasteful, just remember to fast for 24 hours before going there to get your money's worth as there is plenty to choose from.
One of the best buffets I have ever been to!
A lot of choice. From sea food to meat to stir fry’s!
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Delicious and well worth the money.
Would go back!
Seafood always good though found a couple of oysters that have gone bad.
Peking duck usually good but this time the skin is a bit too dry and tough but filling is good as usual.
Dessert need a lot of improvement though. A few years back they used to use Gondowring Ice cream which was good but these days the ice cream is of a generic quality. The mini cakes and desserts foes not shout Langham where its known for the high tea. The creme caramel is too eggy and overdone. The cakes are just so-so in terms of taste and quality. It will be really good to use better quality ingredients for the desserts and to increase the overall quality of desserts.
Really enjoyed the special menu we tried for Lunar New Year - creative and delicious dishes. The Langham always does their themed events so well. We also grabbed some items from the buffet - love the raw bar, especially the fresh oysters and the m&m naans freshly made from the station.
We were lucky to experience their amazing Lunar New Year celebration! Enjoying the Dragon shaped sushi which was awesome, and of course you have to have the famous Yee Sang salad which tasted amazing! Why can’t I have this every day? Of course we threw it in the air for good luck! The Chilli wontons with the freshly handmade wonton! I tried unagi which tasted great, think I was lucky to try at such a good restaurant! But I adored the Lobstor noodles, feel free to permanently put that on your menu! They also have a fantastic buffet with stunning and delicious food! Highly recommend treating yourself!
If you want to go to an all you can eat restaurant where your food can be made fresh and have a variety of options, this is the place. The interior is not as modern compared to conservatory but the quality of food is better. As a sushi lover, the sushi bar was one of the highlights. The chefs are also on standby who can cook you steak on the spot or pasta on the list. Would go again.
A fantastic Buffett of all varieties.. I loved everything, especially the sashimi bar. We had a work lunch here and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Food was delicious and a lot available.
Great place not cheap but the quality of food is good with great service. A good variety of foods and an extensive drinks menu everything we ate was fresh.
Favourite place to eat in the whole entire world! If you want a great dining experience & great food you should come here. The atmosphere of the place is magical. It is so gorgeous & you have gorgeous views of Melbourne. The food is extraordinary! Such a great range of choices. My favourite was all the meat plus the Peking duck crepes, they were to die for. Also who doesn’t love a chocolate fountain for dessert? The lemon meringue was pretty good to. The service was without a doubt the best service I have ever received. You feel like royalty!
We had to try the buffet breakfast here, it was in the entertainment book and was just phenomenal! One of my favourite buffers to date, has everything you could ever want in a breakfast!!!
We’ve been to Melba on a couple occasions. It is quite pricey for the dinner menu but the food is nice. We particularly enjoyed the live cooking and sushi station which heightened the experience. The service was slightly on the slower side
First time set on my feet at Melba restaurant, I felt a warm ambience as well as warm greetings from the staff.
I had reserved by the window seat for three, where I can see Yarra River and Southbank. The dining area is not big, compare to Conservatory restaurant in Crown. However, this is closer to the buffet station.
I really enjoyed my lunch buffet experience here especially the grilled and seafood selection. Last but not least, we could take as many beautiful shots as we want in the iconic Langham hotel. Don't forget to check the pink phone box in the lobby as well as the pink cab in front of the entrance.
I had the buffet breakfast and it was really good. It has the normal problems of a buffet such as waiting in lines, waiting for food to come out and temperatures not always being hot. But it has a great range of options to choose from including a traditional western breakfast, continental breakfast and Asia specific such as miso soup. It also has a salad and juice bar. Plus the staff are super friendly.
Loved it! Had my birthday lunch here and there is a variety of foods to choose from. The roast pork belly and lobster and the baby octopus yum! Also love how the dessert is in bite size pieces so you can choose more than one 🤣😋 and the chocolate fountain 🤤
The location, service, and dining experience is 5 star. However the food is 4star. Its a little over rated. Especially when you are paying $150 pp.
Smoked salmon- beautiful
Unagi- Very nice
Salmon Sashimi- not as fresh as some other 5star japanese restaurants
Oysters- Very Fresh
Prawns- A little over cooked and chewy
Sashimi platter- very nice, good presentation
Lobster tails- a little dry, (not as fresh as you would want)
Duck Pancakes- hardly any duck meat inside
Dessert- they didnt replace the vanilla ice cream for ages
apple tart was frozen inside
pudding- beautiful
rasberry + berries mix- so yummy
Hot food (great selection and variety of indian, itallian, chinese, cuisine but couldnt fit any more in my stomach after eating all the seafood)
All in all- its a beautiful fine dining experience for adults and date night! Wouldn't go there (all the time) There are other fine dining restaurants in melbourne that have a higher quality seafood buffet for sure.
Had the buffer dinner for an Xmas party and thoroughly enjoyed the selection of mouth watering food on offer. The entrance had a beautiful display worthy of a vogue magazine cover so definitely bring your camera too, preferably pics before food!
Really good quality buffet. Cook to order steaks, lamb ragu, sushi, fried noodles. Butter lobsters, prawns, oysters, carvery, Peking duck , made to order naan bread, assortment of curries and array of desserts and chocolate fountain. My recommendation is to go during Monday to Thursday.
Amazing lipsmacking food, theres all kind of cuisine available from seafood to vegen to aisan continental, sushi, desserts, Indian buffet, salads, all types of meats and bbq also available, I felt 2 hours time for a seating is less they should extend it to 3 hours, if you're there for an experience 2 hours would be less, but otherwise worth the money for any special occasion, especially when you have an event and want to ensure there's somwthing for everyone to relish.
