The take away Katsu Curry Don size is too small. I don’t think that’s enough for a man.
@yuzucuisine Aburi Salmon Nigiri - This was my first visit at yuzu in Church Lane and ive already decided what to order in my next visit.Loved the flavours in every dish and the dessert puts a smile on my face.
Yuzu was amazing! The staff were very friendly and helpful and the dishes were relatively quick to arrive. Everyone enjoyed the fresh sashimi and sushi, and the soft shell crab buns were yum! Desserts here were good too, would recommend the cheesecake and chocolate soufflé. We will definitely be back!
Probably one of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve been to. Kingfish Carpaccio is a must. The service is perfect even 10minutes before closing they are still welcoming. Would 100% recommend
The food here is amazing! I love the ramen it’s so good and so reasonably priced too! My favourite was the kaarage ramen with a tonkatsu base
Dinner was delicious, had the soft shell crab burger crunchy soft shell crab, bun soft and fresh and slaw and sauce delicious all worked together. the pork belly just melt in your mouth and the matcha cheesecake with green tea ice cream seriously amazing still thinking about. 10 of 10 for Japanese. Staff so lovely and friendly ask them for recommendations on what to get so helpful and spot on with the choices.
went to yuzu with a Japanese friend and that was a great decision!
the calamari fries were cooked very well, calamari was fresh.
the kale salad was good, but sweet miso sause was too sweet.
cheesecake and ice cream were both perfect!
Found this little Fusion Japanese restaurant in a lane way and though we go in and give it a go. The atmosphere is really chilling and intimate for dating or just a nice night out with some friends. We decided to get the course set which was really fair priced for what we got. Can’t wait to return here again
Visited on Saturday night and our waitress was excellent. Bentos were generous and fresh, and miso was best I've tasted. Everyone enjoyed their meals!
Ambience: 3.5/5
Food:4/5
Staff: 3.5/5
Will I return: If a friend wanted to go, otherwise probably won’t return on my own.
Tried Yuzu for the second time round over the weekend. We were a group of 8 so I can understand that ordering can be a bit messy. We went on a Friday night which is probably one of their busiest nights with after work drinks. The restaurant had really bad air circulation and you can actually see the fog in the air form all the kitchen fumes.
The first waitress completely forgot our drink orders and the second waitress had a hard time getting our orders correct as it was so noisy.
On the up side, their nori fries were so good we had to order a second serve. The mayo that accompanied the fries were awesome, it had a lovely chipotle type flavouring to it. The karage chicken was good but nothing special and pretty much like every other Japanese restaurant. The individual dishes were good but I reckon the bento boxes were more value for money as you get a few different things and not just the one dish for a similar price. The monstrous sushi platter was great but we all thought it was on the pricier side.
However, their drinks are quite reasonably priced hence I can see why it’s a popular spot for after work drinks
I walked past this small Japanese place few weeks back and finally got to try it.
Their menu list was quite limited but this was the thing I liked. I could just decide quickly and order.
We ordered the chicken karage curry don and crispy katsu don. They were quite delicious. I really liked the sesame dipping sauce for the crispy pork katsu. It was full of flavour.
We also ordered the gyoza and nori fries.
The place was cozy and the service was fantastic. The English waiter who served us was very polite and attentive. Overall, we had a good experience at this restaurant.
The food was delicious, service was good but slow, and the decor was cute. Had sashimi, gyōza and karaage.
Stopped for lunch. I can highly recommend the chicken katsu curry. Fresh, tasty and so good and warming in this cold winter!! Highly recommended
it’s a cute little Japanese restaurant sitting in the alley. serving was pretty good.
