We just had dinner here and absolutely loved everything about the place! The food was delicious and the waiter was able to recommend the perfect amount to order. The staff were extremely friendly and also ensured all our dietary requirements were accommodated for! This place was recommended to us by friends and we will definitely be recommending it to all our friends! We will be back!!

We had a fantastic evening. Michael was the greatest host. His recommendations and passion for their food was contagious. The lamb skewers are to die for. Highly recommend for a food/wine excursion into Espanol.

Simply perfect. The flavour and personality of this place is best in class. Flavours and techniques that are bound to win chef hats and service that makes you remember why you enjoy going out.

I remembered reading reviews by two esteemed foodies about Nomada and thus when a friend requested for Spanish cuisine for her birthday, I decided that it must be a sign telling me to go now! All I can say after my meal was wow!

We opted for the Chefs Menu and started off with sourdough and a most amazing dip. I honestly can't remember what it was (garlic and olive oil perhaps?) but it was incredibly flavourful. We moved on to the oysters, which I was told was superb, the leek and manchego croquettes and smoked eel and mussel montaldito. The latter two blew my socks off. Beautiful depth of flavours from the ingredients pairing, and so moreish.

These were followed by the slow cooked cuttle fish with potato puree, chorizo and green peas, and the braised beef cheeks with cauliflower puree. Again, both impressive! The chefs here are not afraid to play with flavours and textures, and our taste buds were in for a ride. The former had hints of spiciness from the chorizo, which was balanced out by the mellow taste of the cuttlefish and earthy flavours of the potato puree. Similarly the mild nuttiness of the creamy cauliflower puree helped toned down the heavy meaty flavours of the beef cheek.

We ended our meal with churros dipped in chocolate sauce. I couldn't fault these crispy yet soft churros. Would it surprise you for me to say that I ate more than my share?

The cocktails here were just as excellent as the food, and the service was outstanding. The fellow who looked after us was genuinely friendly, charming and extremely witty. You really couldn't ask for more here.

This is my favorite new find in ages and I've been twice in as many months, which is rare for me.

For a start, the venue is warm and inviting and the service is friendly without being overbearing. We had the pleasure of being served by the owner Good Friday eve, and though he was the only man out front, we really couldn't complain. He wa happy to delay our order til the rest of the party got there and was great in recommending dishes and providing extra bread.

Most importantly, the food was OUTSTANDING. I've tried pretty much all of the dishes now and found most pretty tasty, but the smoked eel and the Catalan rice dish was to die for. I was really impressed with how well cooked all the seafood was. The other standout was the beef tendon and the pipi ceviche, which is pricey but totally worth it, so I was a bit sad it wasn't available at our second visit.

If you're thinking about it... just go. For once, i'm in 100% agreement with all the glowing reviews!!! Oh and the dip for the bread...YUM! JUST GO!

An impressive restaurant on many levels. I’ll start in an unusual way by recommending an earlier review of this place by One Piece Left. I have read their review and it says many of the things that I would wish to have said.

My night here was a reunion of sorts with old school friends. They weren’t allowing me much licence to properly review Nomada, unfortunately. All I can report is general impressions and thankfully they’re good ones. I liked the restaurant on multiple levels. It’s an attractive place to dine. It’s cute and well set out. We sat at a table at the front and had a great night. One of our party suggested the restaurant feed us instead of trying to get the group to settle an order. This was a wise call and thereafter we were presented with a succession of very nice dishes, most of which I was unable to identify or closely examine properly for fear of being ribbed mercilessly by my companions. My favourite was what I will call the croquettes. They were superb.

We had a great night here. The decor, food and service were all excellent. It is a very good restaurant and it is highly recommended.

Our Saturday night was one of those times where you find yourselves placing your destiny into the good hands of the restaurant. A few simple questions on what we felt like in the wine department resulted in the offering of a fun and light red; a 1.5L bottle for the four of us (with the cost declared... big tick), enabling us to focus on the food. We could have ordered everything on the menu; it’s that kind of place where everything appeals. The food was flawless; aside from the most amazingly-moreish romesco sauce for dipping our bread into, the other stand-outs were the leek and manchego cheese croquetas ($5 apiece), the Cape Grim steak tartare with black garlic and puffed beef tendon ($14.50… we ordered two) and the simplicity of the fried padron peppers with salt & sherry vinegar ($12.00). Another red selected for us (this time, a deeper, richer malbec) complimented our night of fantastic company and food in a very comfortable venue and impeccable service. I can't wait to go back.

Where did Hamer and Tong go? Well, it’s now a cool Spanish wine bar. It’s quiet venue to hang for afternoon drinks and dinner - we had a great experience here and tried most of the nibbles from the oysters to the steak tartare!

The egg and the brussel sprouts were delicious. The portions were as expected for tapas. We ordered a main, a side, 3 tapas, and 2 desserts, which was enough for three hungry girls. Great relaxed vibe for a saturday night. It was full house but not too noisy. Great place for drinks and chats. The owner took orders and served food, whilst providing a few jokes along the way.

We absolutely loved our recent lunch at Nomada!
As one of the few really good, affordable Spanish restaurants in Melbourne (in my opinion) Nomada is a real foodie find just off of Brunswick street.

We chose a handful of smaller dishes to share, as well as two larger ones.
Highlights included the bowl of pipis (packed full of flavour and fun to eat), calamari/chorizo dish and the salmon. However, there wasn’t one dish that we didn’t deem delicious. The restaurant itself, is fun and vibrant while still retaining an intimate atmosphere.
Overall, an outstanding meal! I cannot wait to come back here and eat my way through more of the menu...

Anada used to be our favourite place but we have a new favourite since our visit to Nomada. The food is just as good and the service is better. The chefs menu was amazing value for $55. You get the tapas equivalent of three courses. And bless you Nomada for giving my dairy-allergic husband a dessert that was not sorbet, at short notice. (It was a churro with some kind of absolutely delicious fragrant sugar syrup to dip it in. It was almost better than the chocolate sauce I got. Almost.) As I said, service was great. They were very happy to discuss the wine and give us various tastes to help us decide, even though we were buying by the glass, not the bottle. Food was awesome. The calamari dish was over the top on salt but I couldn't fault the rest of the meal. Get down there pronto before it gets impossible to get a table.

Ordered the set menu dinner. 7 courses. Oyster with the granita was amazing. The rest was nice. Forgot to take a pic of the last two courses which was a salad and beef short rib. Slightly loud place but most places like these terms to be like that.

Absolutely exceptional experience. We have Spanish every year for our anniversary, this year we decided to try Nomada and we were not disappointed. The food was exceptional and the service was fantastic. The wines were also on point with a great variety. We'll definitely come back here and will be recommending Nomada to others.

Loved this place. We have been to Barcelona back in 2018 and loved the Spanish food there. The food here was so good it reminded me and my wife of our trip to Barcelona. Personal favourite was the parfait cigar and Iberico Jamon. But every dish had its own delicious-ness. Looking forward to next season so we can visit again.

Refined Spanish cuisine served in a cosy and unfussy ambience. Sophisticated cooking is coupled with skilled execution as seen in the leek croquette, or the divine chocolate ganache. Friendly and attentive customer service where our water glasses were never empty and we received good advice on the menu.

Off to the Spanish quarter for dinner @NormadaFoodandWine Black Olive Sponge, Salt Cod, Yarra Valley Salmon Roe - The sponge is interesting, it looks sweet but is savoury, a subtle yet distinctive black olive flavour, complimented by the cream and salty seafood flavour of the cod and caviar which bursts in your mouth. Leek & Manchego (right) - I love croquettes, deep fried golden crunchy crumb encasing soft bechamel and creamy leek, what's not to love? Iberico Jamon (left) - even better, love the salt sprinkles for added flavour, love the Jamon and cheesy Mancheho flavour. Heirloom Tomato, Feta, Basil Oil, Sorrel - after the croquettes this very refreshing salad is a must. Beautifully presented, the lovely variety of heirloom tomatoes and soft feta which isn't salty melts in your mouth. Mushroom Stuffed Piquillo Pepper, Romesco - lovely tender earthy mushrooms, soft pepper complimented by the sweet romesco sauce, lovely creation Cured Kingsfish, Avocado, Spring Onion, Cherry - with a soy dressing. It's an usual combination but it works. The kingdfish is light but the soy adds just enough saltiness, creamy avocado contrasts against the spring onion, and the cherry is muted adding a touch of sweetness and acidity. Yum, clever creation. (Cheese) Urgelia - Semi-Firm, Washed Rind, Cow Catalonia Spain - Still a bit hungry so went with some cheese as a balance between savoury and sweet. The cheese has a very strong flavour, I like it. With the very thinly sliced sourdough that is toasted, a touch of quince paste for a touch of sweetness, it helps offset the hardness and is an enjoyable prelude to dessert. Chocolate Ganache, Olive Oil, Crisp Bread, Sea Salt - looks very simplistic, but when the ganache is so so good and chocolatey, it speaks for itself. What a way to finish! What a lovely venue, excellent friendly service, delicious and creative food, excellent night out! #Spanishfood #blackolive #sponge #cod #caviar #croquette #manchego #ubericojamon  #mushroom #romesco #kingfish #cheese #chocolateganache #dessert #sweettooth #foodcoma #foodie @zomatoaus
