I great place to meet for a work lunch. I had the seafood spaghettini. So delicious. Atmosphere and staff were great. Enjoyable experience.

Really nice mushroom toastie, coffee was a bit of a let down. Service is good and the ambience is old school. Like the place will go back as it’s in my office building.
The food is great, this place has been around a long time. The acoustics are woeful - background noise is loud (all concrete and wooden floors- Strozzi please understand folks at your establishment are there to listen and communicate!). We were at a business luncheon of 3. 2 had the special seafood linguine - fish/crustaceans were fresh and amazing. My other guest had the ravioli and she loved it.
The service is so so until you get the folks that have been there a while, admittedly we were arrived early. Having said that for a working lunch, we waited over 15 minutes for our after meal coffees- that's too long.
All in all though a good place. Price is reasonable and service, so long as you get the old hands, is great.

Stylish, satisfying Strozzi. Located in the elegant 333 Collins St building, Strozzi caters to the bankers and business people in their expensive suits and hushed voices. And with this discerning clientele, it rises to the occasion for each meal throughout the day.
On this visit, l was meeting a friend for a weekday breakfast. We both couldn't resist the truffle toasted sandwich, with mushrooms and thyme-marinated feta. I convinced myself that the side of tomato and avocado made this a healthy option - which it clearly isn't. But what it is, is absolutely moreish - as delicious as pernicious. Huge teapots complemented our meal although the metal makes it a little tricky if you want to open it.
With its timber panelling, mood lighting and rarefied atmosphere, this has all the makings of a date restaurant. I found the service was a little standoffish - perhaps because we weren't in business attire. But I'm hoping that's a blip because everything else was so so good.
FYI Strozzi was the name of a noble Florentine medieval family, with a feisty and politically savvy matriarch, Alessandra. I'm hoping this place is named for her, rather than for the Italian verb to choke!
I normally come here for work meeting. Place is very well outlayed and got a heritage feel to it which I like about. Strongly recommend their seafood pasta. Very fresh herbs and ingredients.

Amazing food. Best rockling fish I have ever had.. Make sure you start with the olives and finish with Affogato.. Hats off to the chef.

Nice but a bit pricey. I came here for a late afternoon coffee. Being open a little later was very handy. The decor is nice, the service was good, but the beverages were a bit pricey - $5.50 for a skinny hot chocolate! I still enjoyed the place and may go back.
They close at 5 daily but at 4.50 the greeting was still friendly and welcoming.
Service efficient and the coffee delicious.

Good value informal business lunch. This is one of my favorite places for an informal work lunch - the same kitchen does the restaurant and cafe food- choose the cafe and go without cloth napkins to save on the food bill. Antipasto plate at $25 for 2 is actually a good substantial lunch, spaghetti marinara and Caesar salad as well as fish of the day also good choices from the solid menu - a good venue to chat and do business, but not the prestige location to close a big deal.
Great atmosphere to match the classic style of 333 Collins. The ambient noise level is a bit high, probably due to the hard floors, but not too loud to prevent private conversations. Entry either from Collins Street directly or via the grand foyer in 333 that is accessible both from Collins Street and Flinders lane.
Great coffee and food - but really come for the grandeur and personal service

An institution for business deals over coffee ... heart of Melbourne and lots of business people and suits - can be intimidating if that's not your normal setting, however if your in town to do business then meet at Strozzi ... not really about the food albeit it's okay - coffee is good
The pasta I had there was very delicious!! I've had breakfast, coffee & lunch there now. I would definitely go there again 😊

Literally walked in off the street to grab a take away coffee. I was greeted with a genuine unpretentious hello and attended to promptly. The decaf latte was served with a perfect temperature. I'm sick of 20-something mincing precious staff - you won't find any here!! - The staff that I encountered were great! Good atmosphere - dark and relaxed - hipster-free and most of also old school romantic. - A great place for a cheeky wine hidden away with that special someone.
